I stood waiting at the "City Point" entrance wearing my white jeans and brown cardigan. Jimin and Row said they'd meet me here.
We are currently at the closest mall because Row asked for the two of us to go with him yesterday, so he could make some purchases.
They were already 5 minutes late. I don't like it when people are late. I stood there, tapping my feet, irritated by their absence.
That's when I saw a group of bougee ladies pass by me. They had expensive make-up and jewelry on. They just glanced at me with a disgusted look and made their way inside. I was fuming from the inside because I was not used to being looked upon like this.
That's it. I lost it when I saw one of the girls pointing at me and whispering something. I was about to stomp over there and teach them a lesson, I wasn't planning to use my mouth either.
"Vee!" I turned around, recognizing the voice. It was Jimin and Row. They were walking towards me now.
"Are you fucking kidding me? I've been waiting here since--" I looked at my watch. "6:30." It was basically 7 now.
"Don't curse in front of the child."
I just scoffed, thinking Row was referring to himself. That's when a tiny little creature popped up from behind Jimin. He was so cute, with bangs covering his Bambi eyes.
"My cousin, his name is Joel." Jimin pointed at the child who was still clinging to his legs.
"Hey buddy," I said as I sat down, waving at him to come closer. He seemed shy and hesitant at first, then he seemed to loosen up after seeing my smile.
"My name is Vee," I said slowly so that he could understand.
"Vee?" he mumbled cutely. I nodded my head, smiling.
I looked up at Jimin to see him smiling at me, the way his eyes creases when he smiles made him look so cute.
After a few minutes of talking, Joel was basically comfortable with me now. My talent to talk to kids improved a bit.
