Epitome Blake was running as fast as he could, growling and even on all fours like some kind of deranged and wild animal. Which was what he was.

Bonnie was hardly able to keep up alongside her brother, but teleporting came in handy. And then? They suddenly arrived at some kind of...hatch?

She looked around and saw it was right on the remains of a burnt building or home. Bonnie shook it off and watched Epitome Blake hop inside the hatch.

Strings quickly followed. "C'mon! This is it!"

Bonnie made sure the axe was strapped to her back and nodded as she followed him. She then grabbed Strings and teleported them both to the end.

They appeared right behind Epitome Blake, who now just stood still, almost like he was the lifeless robot he should've been.

Bonnie looked around before she grunted, holding her head...for some reason, this place felt bad. Very bad.

It was Simon's lair after all. But that didn't seem to be it. What was the original purpose of this place? Why did it have so much agony and anger embedded within its walls?

"Sis...?" Strings asked. "What's wrong?"

Bonnie held her head. "I-I dunno...that same agonizing feeling I sensed in Blake...it's all around here...what was this place?"

Then? A creature suddenly lunged at them from the shadows, slashing them both and forcing them to their knees. The creature's eyes glowed brightly and revealed its green skeletal body and an all too familiar tophat.

Then, the other Epitome Animatronics stepped out from the shadows, growling and snarling as they surrounded Bonnie and Strings as they got up

Then, the other Epitome Animatronics stepped out from the shadows, growling and snarling as they surrounded Bonnie and Strings as they got up. But they did not attack...someone was ordering them not to. Just to keep them in one spot.

And that's when their master walked out. Simon, who seemed very amused as he had his hands behind his back. "I've been expecting you two to find me to come after Popgoes...but you're too late. His heart has been put to better use." He said, gesturing to Epitome Popgoes.

Strings snarled and stepped forward, but so did The Epitomes. "You are a heartless monster! A cruel demon that should go back to Hell!!!"

Simon sighed. "You couldn't be more correct, brother."

Bonnie's eyes and tear tracks only glowed brighter. "You aren't our brother!!! And what do you mean!?"

Simon looked around his lair and at The Epitomes. "All of this is so I can make myself a soul...truly be free from these chains of mortal life."

"You want to be a god?" Strings asked.

Simon turned. "No. I just want to be free from Earth and end up in some kind of afterlife. Robots cannot die...which is why I found it so silly that you mourned over the others. They can be just be rebuilt and restored. Like I can...even if you dismantle me and make sure there is nothing left, I have no soul to even rest in a black void or a Heaven or a Hell...I'm machine. There is nothing that will truly make me free...but that is where you come in."
