"The flight was delayed another hour." The lie slipped easily from my lips as I walked through the airport
"Nooo." Lauren whined over the phone making me laugh "your not gonna be hear till the asscrack of dawn now." I threw my head back laughing probably looking insane to the people around me
"I'm sorry baby but there's nothing I can do." I consoled scanning the different terminals trying to find mine
"I know." I heard her pout over the phone. She sighed loudly when someone said something to her "I gotta go." I could tell she wasn't happy at the moment but she will be soon
"Ok I love you." I told her finding a seat
"Love you too." She mumbled taking a second before hanging up. I smiled checking to make sure my flight was on time
I was flying from Florida to New York to watch Lauren's performance and spend some time with her. She was only half way through her tour and we missed each other. I'm getting in around 2 in the morning but telling her my flight was delayed so I can surprise her, which I would rather not but anything to make her happy
I only had about 10 minutes to wait before my plane started boarding. Smiling I put my headphones on and put on my Lauren playlist
Hours later and the flight finally landed. Everybody was tired and ready to leave so de-baording went by quick and quietly. Stepping into the New York aiport I sent a text to Samoht letting him now I was here. He's Lauren's opening act and helping me surprise her
Walking through the airport I spotted a little store with flowers in it, perfect
20 minutes later and I was walking into Lauren's hotel. She would usually be out around now but she has a concert later tonight and I guess me coming in late made her sad
Samoht sent me her hotel room number and even got me a key
"Thank you so much." I hugged him tightly
"Anytime Florida." We talked for a bit longer as we went to the room "Alright ill see you tommorrow." He got off on his floor leaving me alone in the elevator
Readjusting my hold on my stuff a held the flowers out with one hand and pulled my suitcase along with the other one
Walking down the hallway I felt giddy an extra bounce in my step as I walked. We haven't seen each other in a good while and she would be excited to see me early
Reading all the numbers I finally found Lauren's all the way at the end of the hall. Taking in a deep breath I held the keycard against the lock seeing it blink green
I pushes the door open slowly seeing all the lights off. The room was a suite so I walked into a room with a couch and TV in it with a door off to the side where I'm assuming the bed, and Lauren would be.
Leaving my bag by the couch I slowly walked over to the door. With one more deep breath I quickly turned the corner
"LAUREN-" my word died in my throat when I saw the bed. Lauren was laying curled up under the covers in what looked like just a t-shirt, but she wasn't alone. Culred up with her another person who also didn't look to be fully dressed
Lauren sat up my scream having woken her up and looked over at me sleepily. Her eyes narrowed at me for a second seeming confused before her face lit up
"Y/N!" she jumped out of bed stumbling as she got tangled up in the sheets and ran over to me. Without a word she pulled me into a tight hug burying her face in my neck "I missed you." I stood rigged as she hugged me
She pulled back smile still on her face her hands on my shoulders. Her smile slowly fell as she looked at me confused brows pinching together
"What's wrong?" She asked following my gaze over her shoulder. The person who was in bed with her sat up looking equally tired and confused. Once she caught sight of me she smiled though acting like I didn't just catch then, I thought we were friends
