"Y/N-Ugh...look we're through! Okay?!"

Karina was my girlfriend for 3 years now and although it was toxic, we still loved each other. It only started getting shaky these few months and all of a sudden she really been giving me cold shoulders.

"Karina hey, missed ya ba-" I say, going in to hug her but she shoves me away with an bad attitude behind it. Her eyes were on her phone as she's texting...someone while her friend, Arla, is behind her staying silent.

"Come on, don't do this to me right now," I say with a light and cheering chuckle which only brings a scoff out of her.
"Y/N babe not right now I'm so busy. We'll talk later at lunch kay?" Karina says in the fakest happy tone I've ever heard in my entire life. But I let it pass.
"Yeah, alright."
Karina walks away after closing her locker and Arla looks over at me, seeming like she wanted to tell me something but scared to. Her eyes diverted from me as she sees that I was looking at her and after a bit of an awkward tension stirs between us, Karina calls her over. Arla eyes me once more before hurrying over to her.

Arla seems like a great person but I will never know because Karina never lets me talk to her. It's odd that's the case too judging how much she bashed her around me and called her all sorts of names, like if she was what she labeled her as, she shouldn't be scared of her taking me from her right? I don't know what it was though, how bad it got but Arla started to talk to me, behind Karina's back of course.

"S-She's hiding something from you," Arla mutters lowly but I could hear every word. I was browsing through my locker when she said that. It surprised me to hear her speaking.
"Do you know what she's hiding?" I ask her, but she didn't replied. She let out a quiet squeal of fear.
"It's okay, you can tell me. I just want me and Karina's relationship to be back to how it always was."
There was a long silence as I'm waiting for her to respond but she instead ran away.

"She's hiding something from you" played in my head nonstop and it me more wonder what is going on with Karina these recent months. Does she have someone behind my back? That would make the most sense from what Arla said. It can't be anything but that right?! Fu-!

Riiinnnggg!!! Riiiinnggg!! My phone vibrates violently on the table as it puts my thoughts to a pause and I pick it up, swiping up on the answer icon. It was Karina calling, she told me to meet her around her house for she wants to talk to me before going out with some friends.

I should've stayed my ass home that night, because I could think of what she'd say to me and I'd still be right.

"Hey Y/N," Karina says, seeing me arrived.
"Hey. What do you want to tell me?"
"Yeah so uh, we're just done now okay? We're breaking up." My heart jumped hearing it but I was kinda expecting it.
"Can I at least know the reason?"
"Another time I have to go now-"

A sudden anger came over me causing me to grab her arm and pull her back in front of me when she was walking away.
"Hey! What's your problem?!" Karina yells.
"It's not taking you any time to just tell me the reason. What's the reason for the break up Karina?!"
"Y/N move out of my way or I swear to God!!"

I look over to see Arla approaching us in a dark blue knee-length dress. She analyzes the situation and immediately shows discomfort from her body language.

"Hey Arla, ready to go?" Karina turns to Arla, completely trying to ignore me.
Arla stands there, scared to speak.
"Oh my goooddd I hate this about you. Come on let's just go-"

"Stop treating him like an idiot!' Arla yells towards Karina.
"Excuse me?"
Arla stomps over to her yelling once more. "Tell him you have another guy behind his back and stop treating him this! It's not even one! It's a whole group of them you keep talking to in each and every one of their backs-!"
Shut the FUCK UP!" Karina yells as she shoves Arla into the road.
"Karina stop! You're with a load of other guys?! Behind my back?! Really?!"

And with that argument egging on unnecessarily, it ended with me going back the hell home. Me and Karina are done...
