Chapter 1

POV: Charlie

Like every morning, my cell phone alarm clock woke me up in the most horrible way in the world. I hated that fucking alarm clock. Nevertheless, I jumped out of bed. Not because I was looking forward to school that much, no, but more because I would see Nick again. We couldn't see each other all week because he was away to visit his grandparents and wasn't at school. I quickly got dressed and got ready. This consisted of straightening my hair. Looking at myself in the mirror again, only to realize that the t-shirt made me look scrawny as always. So I took it off again and took a thick winter sweater, it was already spring but it was cold. And since I got cold quicker than the others, I wouldn't have noticed. I didn't eat breakfast that morning.

"Morning Charlie" came out of nowhere.

It was Victoria.

"Hi, Tori" I said and smiled at her.

But before I went out and ran to the bus, I straightened my hair again and looked in the mirror with a smile.

"Come on Charlie or we'll be late" Tori said.

I looked in the mirror one last time and then I went to the bus with Tori.When I got there, I got out and walked to the school gate. I looked around but couldn't see Nick anywhere. Finally I saw him leaning against a wall and chatting with Tao. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised that the two could communicate with each other at all. As I approached the two, Nick saw me and ran to me.

Hi" that "Hi" again It was exactly the "Hi" with which we met.

"Hi" I replied dreamily.

He smiled "naaaa how are you?" he said and grinned at me.

"Um I guess well and you?" I said,

"Yeah, that's fine, too," he said.

"Hey, about my coming out, uhmm I think I'm really ready," he said

I smiled from ear to ear.

"For real?" I said embarrassed

"Yeah, I think so," he said, smiling again.

"I don't know Nick you know how I felt at the time.."

he interrupted me "yes i know, but i still want to do it, you know that i like you and i just don't want us to have to hide," he said and immediately the heat rose to my face.

"Are you serious?" I asked just to make sure.

He nodded and we went to Tao.

"So what did you two talk about for so long?" Tao asked.

I looked at Nick, he looked at me and smiled at me. "We talked about my coming out," he said calmly and smiled.

Tao's eyes grew huge and he was beaming from ear to ear. "Wow so something like the next step right?" Tao asked, still beaming like honey cake.

"Yes I think so" said Nick. "Yeah but how? How are you going to tell him? Do you want to go up to Harry and say 'Hi Harry I'm bisexual and dating Charlie who you always tease'?" I said and looked at him.

"Charlie..." Nick said

but so much will change then. Maybe too," he interrupted me again

"psssttttt, be quiet. Otherwise I'll kiss you here right now, in the schoolyard this second"

As red as I was you could hold a strawberry in front of my face and the strawberry would disappear in my face.

"Oh god please Charlie just shut up, I don't want to see that" Tao said, covering his face with his hands.

I giggled, "yeah but maybe we should really just kiss and get caught sort of" Nick said, playing with his thumb.

"Nick, if that's what you really want, then yes, but please be prepared for a lot of stupid comments to come," I said, looking deep into Nick's eyes.

He nodded and smiled cheekily at me again. I smiled and gave him that 'I love you' look. He took my hand and walked me to class.

"Do you want to see me later or should I go to you?" Nick asked happily

"I think I have time but I don't care where we go" I grinned.

During the lunch break I saw Tao, Isaac and, thanks to Isaac's persuasiveness, Nick was also allowed to sit with us if he wanted. So far he hasn't been watching.

"Isaac, did you hear that? Nick Nelson wants to come out," Tao said.

Isaac just shrugged, "The king of rugby wants to come out," Tao said.

I grinned to myself. I wasn't expecting it to go so quickly. I smiled until something hard hit the back of my head.

I said "Arrrrggg" before fasting myself in place.

I looked behind me and saw none other than Harry laughing his head off.

"Charlie, are you okay?" Tao asked

"Yeah, it just hurts," I said.

"What shoud that?" I heard Nick say out loud.

"Are you alright?" Nick asked with a worried look.

Yes" I said, still holding the spot.

"Yeah no, Charlie got thrown with a shot apple," Tao said angrily.

"Come on Harry, fuck off" Nick said and indeed they all left.

Nick stayed at our table. We all talk and Tao refrained from staring and making silly comments. The doorbell rang and this time me and Tao went to a class. But before I could leave, Nick took me aside for a moment. 

"After class, at the school gate," he said, blowing me a kiss.

After the hours we had it over. Rugby had been postponed until Monday and I couldn't wait to see Nick again.

"Nick!!" I shouted and ran to him. 

He picked me up slightly and grinned as I jumped into his arms.

"Charlie!!" he grinned.

"Okay, so um out?" asked Nick.

I nod, my heart beating faster than usual. We waited hand in hand at the school gate. When we saw Harry we looked at each other. My heart immediately exploded and Nick's lips came closer to mine. I closed my eyes and slowly felt his breath on my lips.

"Nick, I don't think I can do this," I said, laying my head on his chest.

"It's ok Charlie" he said and looked at me with a warm smile despite the fact that it bothered him.____________________________________________________
