JULIE WEAVER meet EDDIE MUNSON.
The year is 1984. The month, SEPTEMBER. School is in. Julie is ten minutes late for her first class. It isn't the first time, and it certainly won't be the last. But at least she has someone to talk to, even though she's brand new to Hawkins.
She met Eddie Munson at BIG BUY after a TRAGIC GROCERY CART incident over the summer. It was his easily distracted nature and her introversion that led directly into them stumbling into each other for the first time. Literally.
And now, he sits behind her in Economics, ready to make her disinterest in the subject his excuse for getting her into massive amounts of TROUBLE.
When things start getting weird in HAWKINS, Julie takes it upon herself to drag Eddie headfirst into all of every bit of STRANGE and UNUSUAL - from mysteriously decaying pumpkins to helping out the kid that had until recently been a fixture in the local news.

PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: Julie is canonically much larger than Barbie. She's both taller and heavier. Because of this, her weight routinely impacts her story and how people perceive her. She also wears gold-framed glasses and keeps her bangs cut at her brows.
