It was a normal school day, well except the constant staring and people talking about you. I was sat at the dinner table doing my homework while my mom was cooking dinner. "So, anything happen at school?" She asks. "Not really, it was like a regular school day but the whole school was talking about me and Finn and staring at us all day." I say. "We'll they are just surprised." She says. Surprised we made it out. "Anything else." She says. "Um, oh!" "Is it okay if me and Finney watch a movie here on Friday." I say. "Yeah of course, I'll make sure to leave you two kids alone, I won't bother you two." She says with a laugh. "Mom it's not like that." I say. I wanted it to be like that. "Yeah yeah, that's what they all say." She says.

It was now Friday. (Sorry for the time skip) Me and Finn were in class and we were passing notes to each other about after school. When I was glancing over at him he looked, nervous for some reason, I told him what's wrong but he wrote it down and then scribbled it out and wrote he was fine. Weird. I tried to read it but I couldn't make up the words. (Note is on my TikTok to read what they wrote) I was at lunch with Donna now and we were talking before Finn came over. "So anything happening between you and Finney." She says. "No not really, but we are going to watch a movie at my house after school." I say. "Ooo, you should ask him to be your boyfriend." She says. "No way, he totally doesn't like me." I say. "He does, I can tell by the way he looks at you he likes you." She says.

"He doesn't look at me." I say. "Uh yes he does, you don't see it in time because when you look at him he looks away." She says. Does he like me? "Well, I'll see when we watch the movie." I say. We were walking home and it was me, Finn, and Gwen. Gwen stops. "I'll see you tomorrow Finn." She says. "Yeah bye." He says. "Make a move I know you like her and she definitely likes you." Gwen whispers in Finns ear. "Shut up." Finn says trying not to blush. "Bye Finn, bye Adrian." She waves as she leaves. I wave back with a smile. We start to walk to my house. "Im home." I say as I walk through the door with Finn. "Oh hi, you must be Finney, Adrian told me all about you." She says with a smile. "Mom." I say. Finn smiles. "We'll you two go watch your movie I won't bother you, just no funny business between you too." She says with a laugh. "MoM." I say. "Okay, okay you too can go now". She says. We walk into the living room.

"I'm sorry about that." I say putting my backpack down. "No, it's fine, she seems nice." He says. I smile. "So, do you want anything to drink." I say. "I'm fine." He says. I was a bit nervous since I never really had anyone over before, I was always going to there house. "Okay we can watch the movie now." I say. We were sitting on the couch watching the movie. Then I feel something on my hand. It was Finn's hand. "Is this okay." He whispers. "Yeah, of course." I whisper back with a smile. I interlock our hand and we were now holding hands. "I can't believe this is happening!" I thought. "Thank god she was okay with it." Finn thought. The movie was now over. "It was a good movie." I say. "Yeah, it was." He says. "Thanks to you for thinking about the idea." I say. "Can I tell you something Adrian." He says.

"Yeah totally you can tell me anything." I say. "I like yo- I like someone." He blurts out. "oh." I say. "Yeah I like someone." He says. "Who is it, if you want to say." I say. "She probably doesn't even like me, she probably thinks of me as just a friend." He says. "Well what do you want to tell her." I say. "I don't know, can you, you know, help me." He says. "As much as I hate that he probably likes someone else I'm gonna help him." I thought."How am I gonna tell her." Finn thought. "Well, you should tell her how you feel, or hint that you like her, make some moves." I say. "I tried but I think she doesn't understand how I feel." He says. "Well you should probably do it more often, like what you did to try to hint her." I say. "Then she'll probably get the hint and y'all could get close and you probably would get comfortable enough to tell her." I say.

"Thanks Adrian." He says. "Do you like anyone." He says. "Um, yeah." I say. "oh" He says. "What about him?" He says. "Well, I think he likes someone else and thinks of me as a friend, and I don't really know how to tell him." I say. "You should, like you told me." He says. "Yeah but I haven't made a move, I don't know, this it difficult." I groan. "Hey, who ever it is probably likes you too, you just have to get close with them." He says. "Yeah, sure." I say. It got silent. "I should go home now, I'll see you later." He says getting his backpack. I follow him to the front door. "Yeah see you later." I say. "Kinda disappointed he has to leave." I thought. "Bye Adrian." He says. "Bye Finn." I say. Then he leaves. I close the door and head to the kitchen and grab a drink and sit down on the couch watching whatever was on. My mom came and sat down next to me.

"So anything happen, you look upset." She says. We'll I did have a slight upset face on. I sigh. "How can you tell a boy likes you." I say. "Is this about Finney." She says with a huge smile. "Mom, I'm trying to be serious here, and yes it is him." I say. "Okay, well tell me everything that happened today after school." She says. "Okay well for starters, we watched the movie on the couch and then through the movie he put his hand on my hand and then asked me if that was okay and I told him yes and then I seen him smile, and then we were holding hands the whole time during the movie, and then after he said he needed to tell me something." I say. "And then he told me, he told me he liked someone and asked me for advice, I gave him advice and he told me if I liked anyone I said yes but didn't say who and he left." I say.

"Oh baby, don't worry about it too much, it's just a boy, they come and go, but Finney we'll soon find out how he likes you." She says. "But I want him to like me, he probably likes Donna like everyone else says, I'm not jealous of her, I would never be and she said she doesn't like him at all and want me to have him." I say. "We'll what advice did you tell him." She says. "I told him to get closer to the person and give them more hints and make more moves on them so they can soon get comfortable with him and he can tell them how he feels." I say. "We'll if you see someone getting close with him and you see him use your advice then that means that's the girl he likes." She says. "Yeah I'll make sure to see." I say. "Thanks mom." I say. "Your welcome." She says.
