It had been a month since that night with Khalil and Kassiani had constantly had symptoms of pregnancy despite her taking the plan B, and she wondered...Was she pregnant?"Please, please, please. I can't be pregnant what will I do." She said frantically pacing around her bathroom, as she softly cried.
5 minutes later, Kassiani stared down at the test looking for the answer. As she stared and stared, she started bawling, her brown eyes seeping out the clear liquid as she cried. "Why would you do this to yourself?" She said quietly, hoping it would all go away.
"Pull yourself together Siani." She said to herself as she looked down, noticing she was gaining a bit of weight. "You can do this, for you and your baby." She praised herself in hopes she would agree.
3 months later.
As Kassiani sat on her apartment balcony, she looked at her circular pregnant belly, before grabbing her phone and calling "Baby daddy."Khalil?" She said as she spoke into the phone, "Hey mama, how you been?" He said with a surprised tone.
"Khalil I'm pregnant." She said before softly crying. "Mama where are you?" He said before grabbing his keys and running out of the house. "I'm home." She said before hanging up.
20 minutes later, Kassiani heard knocking at her door knowing it was Khalil. She was scared to face him after the last 4 months, but she opened the door to see him leaning against it with a white tee, his gold chain, grey sweatpants and his Yeezy slides looking good as ever.
As she invited him in, he grabbed her by her waist before holding her and bringing her to the couch placing Kassiani down softly, "Mama how could you keep this from me?" He said looking into her eyes with a sad expression, hoping there was good reason. "I just couldn't, I was scared Khalil." She said before softly crying.
"It's okay, don't cry." He said pulling her into a hug in an attempt to comfort her before softly rubbing her belly. "You should've told me so I could be here for you baby." He said crying a little bit then placing a soft kiss on her forehead and stomach.
"We'll get through this together mama." He said secretly excited about his child.
Kassiani softly placed a kiss on his lips then got up and made her way into the kitchen, grabbing her prenatal pills and a water bottle, then popping one with a water bottle soon after. "So how far along are you?" Khalil said, sitting at the stools by her kitchen island. "Four months, almost five. I'm supposed to find out the gender tomorrow but I have a feeling it's a girl." She said looking into his eyes.
"Hopefully, I've always wanted a daughter but what if it's a boy?" Khalil said as he stared back admiring her beauty.
"Then you'll have a son." She said thinking of the possibility of having a boy but knowing she wanted a girl to dress up, do her makeup and be her mini me.

Kassiani woke up in her bed, turning over before realizing that Khalil had slept over, feeling his hands on her stomach cuddling her."Khalil wake up." She said softly shaking him.
"I'm up mama." He said placing a soft kiss on her lips and stomach, then getting up and heading into the bathroom and brushing his teeth.
Kassiani soon got up after him, heading into her bathroom as she thought of her little family, giving her child everything she never had. "Khalil, what if I'm a bad mom?" She said turning her body to face him. "Siani, you will be a wonderful mom. You are one of the best, sweetest, loving person I know."
"Thank you." She said before giving him a soft kiss and placing her hands on his chiseled abs using her fingers to make circles on his body.
"Girl, I know that ain't who I think it is!" Kassiani heard, the voice coming from her roommate, Aniyah. "Hey Khalil!" She said coming into her room.
"Hi Aniyah." He said to the young woman, already knowing her because of the amount of times he'd come over to her house.
— 1 hour later, doctors office.
"Kassiani Coleman." She heard the doctor call out her name, as she stood up holding Khalil's hand for comfort they made their way to the doctors office.
"How are you today Mama?" Her ultrasound technician said as she put the cold gel on her stomach, her small belly rising. "I'm good, how about you?" Kassiani said, turning to face the woman on the side of her as Khalil held her hand with excitement, his face lighting up like a child on Christmas.
"I'm alright." The tech said as she put the transducer on Kassiani's stomach, "There's your baby." She said pointing at the screen.
Kassiani and Khalil stared at the screen in awe. She couldn't believe that she was actually having a baby, and Khalil was excited beyond words.
"So your baby is about 18 weeks, the heartbeat sounds amazing and she is a the size of a bell pepper."
"She?" Kassiani said, coming out the trance the heartbeat of her baby had on her. "I'm having a girl?"
