Yumi was just defeated by Jack in the last World Cup and was driving around New Domino. She wasn't paying attention to the road while thinking about her next duel with Jack, and crashed her Duel Runner, landing in a river and drifted off to the Satellite.
*A few minutes later*
Crow was fixing his D-wheel at the dock when one of the orphans came up to him saying that there was an unconscious woman in the water. "Wait, where!?" Crow says following the orphan back to the edge of the dock.
He pulls her out of the water, and gives her cpr. When he was about to give up, he finally managed to get the water out of her lungs, and she gave a deep breath before passing out again.
(A few days later.)
Yumi woke up in Crow's bed covered in bandages, with one of the orphans yelling, "Crow, she's finally awake!".
Crow ran into the room and seen her trying to sit up, "what happened" she asked, looking at her saviour.
"Well I was hoping you would tell me. The names Crow, what's yours?" he questioned.
She replied, "I can't remember, sorry."
"Thats fine, you will remember in a few hours or maybe a few days," he replied to her. "Let's get you sitting upright" Crow says, helping her sit on the edge of the bed.
"Here Crow," one orphan said, handing him a plate of food.
"Here, eat up. You're going to need something. You've been out for a few days, and then we'll see from there." Crow decided, and she nodded in agreement.
"Why can't I remember anything?" Yumi wondered, before looking at Crow. "Uh Crow..." She barely made out the words, but he turned around, and she continued. "I was wondering if and how will we get back to New Domino City?"
"You can't. Once you're here, you're stuck here pretty much." He answered, then they heard an announcement on the TV.
"A young man illegally came into New Domino City today and challenged the King of Turbo Dueling Jack Atlas, and a red Dragon appeared in the sky. Now the man was arrested and sent to the facility. Thats it for me, see you tomorrow," the news person broadcasted.
"Huh that's new. No one has done that since a duel Runner was made to fly." Crow says.
Then Yumi remembered crashing into the river but wasn't sure with what.
As Crow finished speaking to Yuni. He look towards the woman and noticed she was going to faint. He managed to catch her before she hit the ground.
"I remembered that I crashed into the river, but I can't remember anything before that." She barely let out, as she fainted.
