Why... Me?

Same Ol' Guns, Different New Names :/

 “Ch…Chuck?! How did you find me?!” I scream, feeling scared.

“It doesn’t matter how I found you, what matters is why you was cheatin’ on me with this douche! Actually, I’ve read about you! Yer that dude from that dumb band One Way or somethin’, aren’y ya?” Chuck says, turning towards Louis.

“Louis, don’t answer … He’s just lookin’ for an excuse to beat your butt right now.” I whisper to Louis, holding onto his arm, seeing as how he’s stepped protectively in front of me.

“Why not? I can take him.” he whispers back.

“No, Louis, you can’t. he’s probably got his pocket-sized twenty-two on him right now!” I whisper frantically.

“Ohhh,” he whispers back, “so we’re screwed, huh?”

“Pretty much.” I sigh.

“So, babe, were you plannin’ on just leadin’ me along while you turned into the slut I knew you were and dated every guy over here?!” Chuck says, grabbing my arm.

“I don’t care if you’ve got a gun, that’s no way to talk to her!” Louis says, punching Chuck’s  face.

“Awh, heck naw. Man!” Chuck exclaims, holding his jaw, and reaching into his pocket, pulling out the gun I knew he had while he lets go of me and pushes me down. I stand up and do the roundhouse kick I learned in the self defense class that I took because of Chuck, and kick the gun out of his hand.  It flies about ten feet away, so I dive for it, turning around and holding it up, making both of them freeze.

“That’s right Chuck, you’ve been huntin’ with me before, you know that I know how to use this, if you take another step, I’ll shoot! And then you won’t be havin’ any kids with anyone!” I scream, and Louis lets a chuckle escape. I shoot him a look, making him shut up. “Now, Chuck, I’m gonna walk you out to your truck,and your gunna drive away, while I keep this gun!” I say, walking behind Chuck and making him walk, he puts his hand up and nods, walking outside.

“Woah…” I hear Louis say as he follows me out of the barn, making me smile to myself. We reach the barn doors and I look around for Chuck’s truck. I finally see that rusty, old Chevy that he has attempted so much in, but never did.

“Turn, Chuck.” I say, making him walk in the direction of his truck.

“You haven’t seen the last of me, babe. I know where you live now, and there ain’t gone be no hidin’ either.” Chuck says, getting into his truck.

“Wanna bet, Chuck? I’ve already gotten my carrier’s license for over here, I got it before we moved. And, you ‘member all those guns in the corners of my old house? With the hidden bullets? Yep, they’re here too, hidden bullets and all. And guess what, the only people who knows where the bullets are, are me, Momma, and the butler, so just back off, m’kay? M’kay. Oh, and we’re through. Now drive.” I say to Chuck, my anger that he followed me here coming out in that rant.

Chuck finally drives off, looking scared crapless. As soon as his truck leaves the driveway Louis and I are scared to death by really loud whoops and hollers from the other guys.

“Wow, girl-whos-name-I-still-don’t-know, I never would’ve thought you were that bada**!” Zayn says, walking up and putting a hand on my shoulder.

I laugh, “Well you’ve gotta be like that where I come from if you wanna be able to defend yourself against jerks like him. Oh, and my name’s Camrynn.”

“I heard you say, ‘We’re through.’, you dated that jerk?!” Harry exclaims.

“Yeah, but not by choice, Harry, I swear. Did you guys see the whole episode, including us in the barn?” I pause, seeing all the boys nod, “Yeah, he was abusive and said he would kill someone or something I really cared about if I ever told anyone. So, I never did, I was stupid and thought I could deal with him myself, and now I know I can’t, but please, don’t tell my mother, or whoever watches y’all ‘bout this y’all’ve seen that I can handle myself. And we’ve got a security system and guns and everything in that house, I can defend myself. Just, don’t tell anyone just yet. Okay?” I finish, almost depressed from everything with Chuck.
