I was walking down the street, almost home. I knew I was getting yelled at by the time I would get home.

I opened the front door, to see my dad sitting in front of the television, again. Cans of beer and pizza boxes were laying around him.

I took my jacket off, as I walked silently to my room, trying my best not to disturb my dad. It didn't disturb him, a smile lit up on my face.

I closed the door, I threw my bag on the bed, to be honest, I'm not really a good student. And I was tired.

Suddenly, a message lit up from my phone, I picked my phone up, and red the message.

Lukas ✨

Hey hey hey! What's up, wanna hang??

It's Lukas Foster, he was my bestfriend ever since we were first years.

We're 2nd years now, and we're really close too. He's the only person I'm close to.

Me.

Sure, where?

Lukas ✨.

The Caffeine fix, found it nearby our street, I think it's good.

Me.

Coming by at 6:00.

I got up to get ready, before that, I looked outside my room to see if my dad's asleep, if he's not, I'll use the backdoor.

My dad was asleep, but he might wake up, so I'll use the backdoor again.

I took my time to get ready, it was 5:28 by the time I was finished.

I sneaked out of our house from the backdoor, and once I got out of there, I ran.

By the time I got to the café, my legs felt like Jell-O wobbling on a plate.

I got in the café, and saw Lukas sitting on a corner, with his iPad, it seemed like he was watching something.

I walked over to him, and sat down.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked, tons of my questions ran to my head on what he was watching, and why he wanted to talk.

"I heard there was a cabin in the middle of the cemetery, it's haunted they say, I want to go there." He replied, still focusing on the thing he was watching.

I panickily yelled, "Why would we go there!? Have you seen those horror movies, where they go to that cabin and get killed!?"

"I've seen tons of horror movies, you've seen my room didn't you Paige?" He calmly told me, as he added, "It's full of horror movie posters, I'm watching a horror movie again."

I sighed softly, "Fine, I'll come, what time?"

Lukas' eyes lit up, and beamed, "Really!? Alright, we're going at 11:00 by tomorrow, I have flashlights ready in my backpack. I have everything ready honestly."

I rolled my eyes, and hesitated, "Are you sure we should go there? Not really safe."

"I'm sure, we could go to an internet café across this street right now if you want more research." He informed me.

"Yes please, if there's coffee there, would be even more glad. I still don't feel safe whenever you mention that cabin." I bantered.

"You'll be fine, let's go, the pc from the café is waiting for us." He chortled in joy.

We walked out of the café, crossing the street to that internet café of his.

We went inside the internet café, and we sat on a seat with a computer on the desk.

I've never been to an internet café before, so I sat down like Lukas told me, and started researching.

Lukas joked, "Why do you believe it's scary in that cabin anyway? It's not THAT scary you know?"

I stretched my arms to my back, teasingly saying, "I'm not that scared, maybe you're scared yourself that's why you're bringing me to that cabin, am I right?"

He mumbled, "I'm not that scared, I just wanted company."

"Yeah right, bet you just wanted me to come because you're scared a ghost is gonna jump out of nowhere." I chuckled.

He yelled silently, "Hey! I'm not that scared."

"Who's the wi- hey I found something." I informed him, as he walked over to the table I was sitting on.

"What is it?" He was clueless, he wanted to know what it is.

It was a website,it had information about the place, and all it's whereabouts.

There was nothing that specified that it had ghost's in it, so I wasn't scared. For the least of it.

Lukas articulated, "I found that last night here in this same internet cafe, if you want to read it out loud, I'm not interested."

I nodded, and started reading, it took me actually 15 minutes to read it, cause by the time I was done, it felt like years of freaking reading it.

I complained, "Why do we have to know about this place? We already know it's abandoned."

"Atleast you know about the place and it's whereabouts, now go on, I don't have all day." He replied.

"It's midnight, Lukas." I sighed.

"Oh yeah, anyway, this internet café is open 24/7." He informed me.

The next is a whole freaking blur.

It felt like I never remembered what happened, but I woke up in my bed, so I did my daily schedule.

I got up and got ready, I don't get late at school, but I always get late at projects.

I started walking to school, when a car stopped by me, the window opened slowly.

Lukas greeted me, "Goodmorning, it's cold today, come in, I'll come to school with you."

"Thank God you're here, what would I do without you?" I thanked him.

"You would probably be tired walking all over from your home to school." Lukas commented, opening his door and moving to the other side.

"Thanks again, did you do our homework?" I asked.

"Yeah, I already did, what grade you think you're gonna get?" He asked me.

We exchanged thoughts to each other, in school, and in the car. The day has gone by too fast, I never noticed it, I had too much fun laughing with Lukas, I didn't notice anything change around us. Will it actually change?
