And the world feels at peace.
Ruins litter it, sure, but theyre covered in extensive colonies of ivy, and critters litter the place with their lives.
The old power plants dont work anymore, corroded by the passage of time and a few creatures deciding it was a nice place to live, without all the predators previously inhabiting it.
Life just flowing, following its course, balancing species and places and territories and peace.
They did not need us.
It did not need us.
We were good at the beginning, when we followed nature and its rites.
But then we got greedy. We believed we were the only lives mattering, the only resource worth saving.
And then again, some wasted us themselves, not even having that respect.
And we polluted, and littered, and destroyed, for comfort, for fun, and sometimes even just for the sake of it.
Life is at peace now. Its taking back what we took unjustly, and taking back what it gave us.
By destroying it -or at least trying too, even without knowing- we destroyed ourselves.
Life is at peace now.
Species balancing each other, nature taking back our ruins, the earth, slowly healing.
Life is at peace now.
We are not.
We never were.
Life is at peace now.
And all is good.
Just another phase.
Life is at peace now.
Life is at peace now.
