"Wow, that's a beautiful view!", screamed Jan.
He stared enchantedly at the dreamy sea surface, watching the waves creeping steadily towards the ship.
Jan had always longed to be on a sea trip. The stories of adventurous voyages and sea storms, seemed to have fascinated his developing mind. However, this trip wasn't possible until the summer of his 17th year. It was planned by Jan and his gang of friends
-Jessie, Rudolf, Shelby, George and Jimmy.
It was supposed to be a three week long, tedious trip. Although Jan seemed to be at his liveliest, sea sickness happened to be taking over the rest of the passengers.

"Beautiful view? No way!", shrieked Jessie as she vomited once again, spilling a good percentage of her undigested meal into the heart of the Great Pacific.
"Well, it's an incredibly gross one now, I agree", shouted Jan.
Jessie approached him, all pissed and red hot
"You heartless scumbug, I swear-"
"Eh, cut the crap", said Jan, "I'll deal with your punches once we're back home. Lemme live this moment"
Jan turned around and continued to gaze at the sea.

"I'll never understand his obsession with the sea", sighed Jessie. She walked back to her cabin.

"Isn't this ocean blue kinda...dull?", asked Rudolph, walking upto him.
"So are you and yet I chose to have you accompany me on this trip." remarked Jan, without turning around.

Rudolph crooked his eyebrows, "c-can you just not-"
"No." Said Jan, with a straight face.

"I like how both of you are always at your clownshit. Too bad nobody to watch", said Shelby, as she walked upto them with her peg of wine.
"Oh hi, Shelby", said Jan, turning around.
"Did you sleep well?", he asked.

"Kinda dizzy after yesterday," said Shelby, yawning midway.
Randomly, she tripped and fell within Jan's arms while all the wine spilt on Rudolph's shirt.
"Are you okay?", asked Jan looking into Shelby's eyes.
"Aw, wouldn't have been if you weren't here." Said Shelby.
"YOU JERK" screamed Rudolph.
"Your shirt looks better that way", said Jan, ''also, Shelby, I hope you can balance yourself better now."
He pushed her aside. They walked back to their cabins while Jan continued to gaze dreamily at the unending sea.
