i wake up at 2:20am to the door closing, i grab my phone, turn on the flashlight and check on Emily but she wasn't there- i get up and turn on the actual light, but she really wasn't there. i walked out to see the kitchen light on, Emily and Chris were talking, i didn't want to interrupt, but i did want to listen in..
Chris' pov
"emily what's wrong?" i asked her as i walk into the kitchen, "jesus chris you scared me" she says as she put her hand up to her chest. "i'm sorry" i said back rubbing my eye. she just signs and looks down at her hands, "seriously Em, what's wrong?" i asked again. "just can't sleep, don't know if it's because i haven't slept over in awhile or something" she said, "before you continue, would you like some water?" i asked. "yes please" she says back. i get her a glass of water and sit across from her. "thank you" she says to me with a small smile. "of course. i'm always here for you em" i said back reassuring to her. we sit there for a minute in silence. "chris?" she said, "yes?" i say as i look up at her, "thank you, for everything. i'm so happy i have you in my life" she says to me, i smile, "you're welcome em, im happy to have you in my life too. but with that being said- i do have a question" i say to her
Matt's pov
"what's your question chris?" she asked him. "what really happened tonight with Matt?" he asked, "we went to the park, we laid down on the grass and looked at the stars, and we got ice cream" she explains to him, "so it was a date?" chris asked. "chris, as much as i know you and know you'd like Matt and i to get together, i don't think Matt likes me in that way, & plus i love our friendship and don't wanna ruin it" she explained. "fuck" i say out loud- i didn't mean to, but as soon as i did, i ran back to my room.
Emily's pov
"did you hear that?" i asked chris, "no?" he questioned. "let's go to bed, im getting tired again" i said to him, "okay, want me to walk you to Matt's room?" he asked, "i'll be fine, thank you chris" i said to him, "you're welcome, sleep well Em, love you" he says to me, "sleep well chrisy, love you too" i say as i start heading to Matt's room- as i get there i see the light on and walk in, his head shoots his head up and gets up, "there you are" he says go me as he pulls me into a hug, "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to scare you" i said hugging him back "it's okay, i just didn't see you and i was just about to go look for you" he says to me, we're still hugging. & he smells really good- "are you ready to go back to bed?" he asked me, "yes, back to bed please" i said back to him, we separate from each other and i get into the inflatable bed as i start to close my eyes, hoping to fall asleep soon, i hear Matt, "hey emily?" he said, "yes matty b?" i say back, "will you.. uh, sleep with me.." he asked shyly, "yes matty, i will" i answered back to him. as i got up to go into bed with him, i ask "may i use one of your hoodies?"
Matt's pov
"may i use one of your hoodies?" she asked, she has never actually worn any of my hoodies, she's always worn Nicks or her own. "yeah, of course" i said as i got out of bed, and walked to the closet, i look at her again, she was still wearing jeans too, "would you also like some sweat pants?" i ask her still looking at her, she's rubbing her eye, "yes please" she says.
i walk to her and i hand her my red nike hoodie with grey nike sweats, "thank you" she says with a smile, i smile back at her and start walking to the door, "where are you going?" she asks, "i'm going to wait outside the door for you, and you can open the door for me when you're ready" i said to her, "oh, thank you" she said, "of course, get me when you're ready" i said to her,
"alright" she said with a smile, "alright" i say back with a smile exiting the room.
i had my head up against the wall, looking up at the ceiling, about 4 minutes had passed when she opens the door, i turn my head to look at her, "i'm ready" she says has she steps aside so i can go in, she has the hood on, "okay, get in bed then." i say, "okay" she says, "are you comfortable?" i ask, "yep yep" she said as she had her thump up, couldn't help but laugh, she's so adorable, i get in bed, she's looking at me, "what?" i asked with a smile and laugh as i was getting in bed, "im not tired" she says with a smile, "mmmm" i say getting out of bed to turn on the light. when i'm done, i turn to look at her again, "matty" she says to me as i get into bed. i'm laying on my stomach, "yes lyns" i say back looking at her, "guess what" she says with a smile as she starts to lay on top of me, "what it is?" i ask her. "a stegosaurus has spikes as a way to defend them self's from predators" she says to me with a huge smile on her face, "i didn't know what one actually" i say laughing. she laughs too, ugh her laugh do i love her laugh, "anything else about dinosaurs i should know about?" i ask her. "a lot more, but for another time" she says to me. "right right, give me a song" i asked her, as i grab my phone.
"cr-v by cuco" she says, "alright" i say, "alright" she says back, i smile at her

i'm laying on top of Matt, he's laying on his stomach. as we're facing the mirror i take a picture of us. & i decided to post it

after Emily posted the picture of us, she got off my back and laid down. i got on my side and she was looking at me, "what now lyns?" i asked her, "nothing matty, i'm just getting tired" she says, "sleep then weirdo" i say to her. she smiles at me and she starts to close her eyes, "goodnight matty b" she says to me, "goodnight lyns" i say back. i get closer to her, & i wrap my arms around her, she's at my chest and im at her forehead. i give her a kiss on her forehead, this girl is something else
