When things change from interest

To wanting simply to win and take

When not even dusk can compete

With the tone of the jest we make

You try to speak but are switched to mute

For It is normal or just a phase

You figure out for once who you are

But are too young for the choice to be made

Questions plague a young mind

where innocence and joy must still have hold

But to fix a world handed broken

To be young yet old, meek yet bold

For we all aspire to be the red

That stands out in a world of gray

Yet all the same want to hide

Or simply just to fade away

A voice that wants to speak

And bring to light what is in the dark

To right a wrong held for long

To fix a world where problems stand stark

But we are unable to open our mouth

For a dark abyss had sunk its depressing fangs

But it's alright, live young and joyfully

For all you feel is just Teenage Angst
