It feels like the millionth time that I am writing an introduction to this story. Granted, it was the first story I've ever published on Wattpad a long time ago, and have since then edited and rewrote it many times. I was much younger and barely had an idea what I was doing. But we all naturally have to start somewhere right?
To put it simply, I wouldn't have taken writing more seriously if it was not for this story and these characters. Although it's a wild ride, I'm willing to take a chance on this newer version and share it with all. It will probably take some time to fix the chronological order of things, but I think I owe it to these characters to at least try. Naturally I won't be changing the essence of the story, but I'll try to improve it whilst staying authentic to the way it began many years ago.
With that said, The Last We Fell is a story about our characters finding themselves, overcoming their dislike for each other, securing friendships, revisiting and accepting pasts, uncovering secrets, learning to trust again, and falling in love along the way. Lilianne, a 23 year old whose life had significantly altered when she was 10 years of age, moving continents to start a life with a family she didn't even know existed, while still trying to grasp how her life could take a turn for the worse so drastically. Adam, a gentle soul, who had to harden his exterior to be able to deal with his grief and disappointment. He learned to distance himself from others since trust was a very dangerous thing to give to the unwhorthy. Little did he know, there was another person who was holding on to her sanity just as fiercely as he was his skepticism. Join them in this journey of heartache and joy to learn what their fate holds.
