A/n: IM SO SMART FOR WRITING SOME CHAPTERS AND PUBLISH THEM ALL AT ONCE. Also after these chapters I'll rewrite them all, especially the old ones. And maybe choose some cute page theme. Also ill add a requests page so that I don't have to go look around for them :'D <3

You yawned as you eyes began to close as well, while you were selecting one of the stacks of documents piled up on your desk.
It was incredibly late. Liyue had fell into darkness, a few lights still illuminated the streets of the Harbor. you yawned again. It wasn't a job that had to be done right away, but you being you, decided to just overwork again. After all, if you wanted to get that promotion you had to give your best, even if it meant giving up your sleep schedule. As you closed the last drawer of the huge archive, you sat down on the chair and slowly started to close you eyes. You crossed your arms on the desk and rested you head on them. Seconds later you you completely fell asleep, not caring if someone saw you.

After some minutes, you woke up to a familiar voice trying to wake you up.

" Y/n wake up"
You opened your eyes and slowly looked around just to see Yanfei next to you. A hand was resting on your back as a soft blanket was covering you. The pink haired girl gave you a warm smile, as she began to ask you why you were still in the office, even if you could've gone home long ago.

"I never thought you would get this serious about that promotion, Y/n"
The girl spoke as she moved the hand up and down your spine.
You gave her a warm exhausted smile.

"I'm just really hoping they give it to me one day"
Yanfei giggled and placed the hand that was previously on your back, on top of your hand.

"Haha, but of course they'll give you the promotion! You're the most productive employee in here, it would be mad to say otherwise."
She smiled softly as you laid your head back on your arms.
You wanted to sleep. Really. But the promotion kept you up for days and you just couldn't think of something else. Everyday you would wake up thinking of it, and also during the day. You needed it, you deserved it.

"Y/n..want me to ehm..accompany you back home?"
Yanfei asked, as her ears got a bit red. You nodded as you got slowly up and stretched.
She grabbed her stuff as you did the same, and you both exited the building. The colors of all the lights made your head feel light, and as you kept walking you noticed Yanfei beginning to look worried of something.

"Hey, are you alright Yanfei?" You look worried."
You asked as she frenetically tried to cover it up with some lame excuses.
She was bad at lying to you, the way she kept adding stuff to the lie made it obvious.
Soon enough you reached your house.

"Yanfei, you were lying weren't you?"
You said as you unlocked the front door. Her cheeks got red as she played with her fingers, anxiously looking at you.

"Come inside, you can stay for the night so we can talk it out."
You said smiling blushing a little. Yanfei stayed at your place few times, but recently she seemed distant as well.

"I don't really know Y/n.."

"Please? I wouldn't mind some friend's company."
She finally accepted and stepped inside, as you closed the door. The candles you put up earlier today burnt out, only the lights from the streets were illuminating the rooms.
Yanfei followed you to the bedroom as you both sat down on the big bed.

"So what is it?"
You asked as the girl laid down and faced the ceiling.

"It's just that, recently you're sleeping less and less every night, you drink your stupid coffee to give you some energy but it doesn't work anymore. Every time i check if you're still up in your office but i find you asleep on your desk! I don't want you to stress so much"
Yanfei cared deeply of you, and seeing her tear up a little for you made your heart sink.

"Yanfei... you worry about me?"

"Of course i do!"
The lawyer said as she sat back, looking at while holding your hand.
You blushed at her sudden response. You never thought she would worry so much about you.
She hugged you as you sat there, face red like a tomato. Your arms wrapped up around her, as she didn't want to let go.

"I want you to rest properly at least for today."
She said as she finally loosen up.
You promised to her you would rest. And you want to as well. You laid down on the soft bed as Yanfei laid beside you. This reminded you of the time where you two would do slumber parties and talk about anything you had in mind. This time tho, you felt as if this platonic feeling had changed, for the both of us.
You didn't see her as purely a friend. You wanted her in your life differently.

Soon enough you closed your eyes, and passed out.
Yanfei watched you rest smiling to herself. She the leaned closer and gave you a kiss on your forehead.

"Sleep well, my love"
