There you were standing in front of your mirror, looking yourself over to see if there was anything out of place. You wanted to make a good impression tonight. You wanted to make sure nothing on this date went wrong.
It's just that you couldn't help but to be nervous. It's not like anyone could blame you. Everyone gets nervous before going on a date. Besides, seventh time could be the charm, right?
The last six girls you dated never made it past the first date. It was your decision to end it, though. In fact, each one of them approached you first. You couldn't turn down any of those beautiful women and things started to go well at first.
Conversations were interesting, there were no awkward stops, and you were entertained by the stories they had to tell. If things were going this well, then why did you end things with each and every one of them?
It always happened around the same time around each date. The air seemed to turn different. Ominous, weirdly enough. You couldn't explain how, but things started to get a bit uncomfortable. The conversations you'd been having with each one slowly started to make you feel uneasy.
To you, they started to get more and more clingy as the night went on. The last few girls even seemed to know things that you never brought up to them before. Part of you thought that they might have stalked you online. That was the most likely scenario. But there was also the thought in your mind that all these girls might know each other and gossip about your dates. Small world if that's the case. You wanted tonight to be different. It had to be.
You started to think back to when you and Gahyeon first met.

You were sitting on the bench in a nearby park. You were enjoying the peace and quiet, something you hadn't had in the past few months due to all the strange dates you've been on. It felt nice. It felt normal. You closed your eyes as you took in all the scenary you could with as many of your other senses as you can, until a voice suddenly spoke up in front of you.
You opened your eyes to see a beautiful, red-headed girl standing in front of you with a smile just as bright as her hair shining towards you. You were so taken aback that you didn't catch what she had said. "Uh, I'm sorry. Could you say that again?" You asked.
"Oh, did I interupt something? I'm sorry. It's just that I couldn't help but notice you from across the park. I wanted to talk to you before my mind tries to convince me otherwise. Are you single, by any chance?"
"Bold question."
"Sometimes you got to be."
This girl seemed different. While she approached you like the others did, they were always shy in their delivery. You liked how blunt this girl was. A grin started to grow on your face. "Well, to answer your question, I am. Why do you ask?" Of course, you knew why, but you wanted to be smooth...as smooth as your mind makes you out to be, but you weren't sure if it was working on her or not.
It seemed to work well. Her eyes beamed at the response. "Well, there's this carnival that just came to town. I would love to go, but it wouldn't be as fun if I went by myself. I'm new around here, so there aren't any friends or family to go with. I figured with you, it would be a lot of fun, especially at night. Once the lights come on, it becomes a beautiful view. It's a sight to see. What do you say?"
You had your reservations at first considering your luck, but you couldn't turn her down. It would be a wasted opportunity. Besides, who would reject an offer from a goddess such as herself? "I'll be there. What's your name by the way? I'm going to need a name to add into my contacts."
"I see you're just as bold. The name's Gahyeon."
"Nice to meet you, Gahyeon. I'm Y/n." The two of you exchanged numbers before planning to meet at your place before the date.
