Part 9 The Heist

After the whole argument, Marmalade took us in a limo to the place where we were going to "heist" these guinea pigs. But I couldn't pay attention because, to say you could cut the tension me and Wolf brought with us after the fight with a knife is an understatement. I couldn't even look him in the eyes without feeling a wave of emotions, sadness, anger, heartbroken, and many, many others. And it did not help that we were wearing these ridiculous costumes. "Sooo," Shark stated, trying to defuse the tension. "Lovely day we're having, huh, ?" he continued, but shut up as soon as I glared at him. "Never mind. Horrible day! Are you guys having a horrible day or what because I'm definitely having a horrible day?" he said back quickly.
"OK!" Snake spoke up to what, I assumed, was to ask what Wolf and I the big deal was. But before he could get any words out, professor Marmalade interrupted him.
"All right, we're here." he said as he pushed us out of the limo and let us go on our own for this so-called "heist" as the tires squeal away.  "At least they're comfy" Piranha said beside me before Wolf started to explain our game plan. "All right, we need to distract that scientist. Shark you're up." "Copy that" Shark replied in an unusual enthusiastic tone. "I'll go with Shark." I stated to Wolf with a flat tone. Causing the group to look at Wolf with confused faces on why I was talking to him the way I was. "Hm" Wolf replied with a tone similar to mine. This caused the group to be even more confused at the fact he didn't even put up a fight because usually, he would want me with him. But I walked away without another word with Shark as the rest of them did whatever they were doing.
As Shark and I walked in silence to the hall where the scientist were Shark, finally spoke up. "So, what was that all about?" "What?" I responded, knowing full well what he was talking about. "You know that whole "I want to go with Shark" thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally flattered, but usually, you and Wolf would be stuck together like a baby gorilla sticks to its mom." He replied, making me glare at him. "Oh, so I look like a gorilla now, huh?" "Wait what! No, no, no, no that not what I meant at all. I-I mean, you're a v-very beautiful young-" "No, don't even do that because there are so many animals you could've chosen other than a gorilla." I said before he could even finish what he was going to say before I continue answering the question he asked moments prior. "And besides, I'd rather not talk about it." As we reached our destinations, Shark, took a couple of quick steps in front of me, and turned completely around to face my direction, looking me in the eyes and saying in a serious tone. "If there's anything that's bothering you, I hope you know that I will always and I mean always be there for you because you are like a sister to me. And I don't want my sister to hide anything from me especially something that's bothering her and I know I can fix." and before he could say anymore, we had to move along with the plan.
~Time skip to after the heist~
As we made out way back to the mansion where professor Marmalade let us stay I thought to myself what did Wolf mean about Dillon and I. Is he? No, no way he is. He just sees me as a friend. A sister nothing...nothing else.
