chapter 1

GRUS POV:

gru feigned a smile as all the minions surrounded him after his latest victory. as a matter of fact, he just committed the most heinous crime any villain could do, he stole the moon.

You see, everyone relies on the moon. gru didn't know exactly what the moon did per say, but he knew that it was important. after all, he'd always been told by his mentor 'wild knuckles' to shoot for the moon.

gru couldn't help but to feel a little lonely even though he was surrounded by his most loyal followers, his minions. gru no longer wanted material things, instead he longed for a complete family. he wanted his gorls (Margo, Agnus, and Edith) to have 2 present fathers in their lives instead of just 1. he longed for a loving and passionate companionship (other than his lifelong friend doctor nefario).

to be completely honest he couldn't see anyone ever filling the role of a second father. except for one. his arch nemesis. his forbidden love. vector.

VECTORS POV

as vector marinated in his loss he considered jumping into the hungry pool of sharks located just below his couch in his living room.

vector was a winner. he never lost. what would everyone think of him now? what does gru think of him?

god, he must thing vector a failure.

all this time vector has had one goal, to defeat gru.

instead of defeating him, however, he fell for him. fast and hard.

vector was weak. vector was careless.

his heart belonged to a man that didn't even think twice about his existence. gru wouldn't even care if vector fell off the face of the earth. no one would.

vector obsessively spent months on end trying to figure out the true nature of gru, vector didn't even noticed his true feelings for gru until it was too late and he was in too deep.

gru, although a grumpy lump on the outside, was a sparkling ball of sunshine through and through. gru was like the sun. he brought light to darkest and dullest moments.

the moon followed the sun like a most loyal lover, just happy to be in its presence. admiring from a far, never to touch.

if gru was the sun, vector was most definitely the moon.
