you are my sunshine

my only sunshine

The feeling of someone else's gaze was always present wherever she goes; it was unnerving and creepy that Chaerin often goes into crowded places in hopes of getting away from that person. It worked before, but now it seemed that they managed to find out about her trick and were somehow angered. She was glad that her friend Minho agreed to fetch her before and after her both work shifts, and to an extent, he waited for her to finish her tasks.

Her hands trembled, itching to grab her phone, and run back to the door of the flower shop, but she couldn't. She must wait for him to come back after closing his shop, and the only indication that she knew that she was instinctively safe was the soft ringing of the metallic keys that Minho habitually does when closing the shop.

you make me happy

when skies are gray

The streetlight nearing dim; the yellowish white light emitted suddenly blinked in an unexpected succession and she stopped breathing, hands clenched on her lavender sweater. There was an odd glinting of a metallic object in the deep part of the streets where the lights of the lamp posts didn't hit.

"Minho, are you done yet?" She asked in a high-pitched voice, stepping backwards lightly as she bit her lips in fear, The only response she heard from the opened door of the flower shop was the grunt Minho gave as a reply. Chaerin stepped again backwards, hitting her back to the black staircase handle, and gripped the railway for support.

"Maybe you can be faster," she shouted with urgency in her voice and added quietly, "Please hurry up." She repeated her last words like a mantra as the glinting of the metallic object was now nearing the yellowish light that the lamp post near their streets.

you'll never know, dear

how much I love you

Minho finally was done with the indication of him swirling the numerous keys in a cute key chain that was adorned with the cute dog accessory Nara had given him on his birthday. Chaerin held her breath again, backing away to turn around and climb the steps to meet the confused look painted on Minho's face.

Chaerin knew this decision was somewhat hasty and she had no plans besides this one. She rested her head on his shoulders before linking her calloused hands onto his; her heart beating faster, but not because of the possibility that she liked him before, it was because of fear. "I'm not buying the food for the camping that you promised the kids, Chaerin," Minho said with a confused tone.

She wanted to smile and tease him back, but she couldn't. Right now, she has to get them away from this place; away from the man that was following her since before and hoping that she was just mistaken. "Just follow me," she pleaded and hugged his arm tighter with a nervous smile.
