Adelina Freya Mikealson or Anastasia Francesca Swan, daughter of Niklaus Mikealson and a dopplegänger, Elizabethia Petrova. The girl lived in the early 11th century and was later sent to the future by her grandmother Esther, for her own protection. Réne Swan found the girl with a note saying: "Whoever may find her, adopt the child and rename her. She is not safe as a Mikealson, she is part of the supernatural world, the first ever tribrid. No one can know of her true heritage, except her parents and close friends." The woman adopted the child and named her Anastasia Francesca Swan, who later became a big sister to Isabella Marie Swan. Both girls were always close and continued to be until Anastasia was nine. At nine years old, the girl unlocked her werewolf curse, by accidentally killing a cold-one vampire to protect her sister and mother. At ten years old, the girl was stabbed in the heart by a hunter, not knowing that she'd activated her vampire side.
Now, eight years after the incident, both girls are going to Forks, Washington because their mother will be traveling with her new husband, Phil Dwyer.
