Serendipitous: Harry's Story

Feliz Cumpleanos Landon

Even though it was Landon's birthday, officially a year old, most of the people currently in attendance were Ian's co-workers and a few of Lacey's friends that came to celebrate the youngest one's birthday.

"So many men in one place. I love you Lacey," Melissa whispered, in awe. "This is better than your wedding!"

Riley shook her head before giving Landon back to Hope. "Wall Street are not my type." Riley shrugged. "I like the more scruffy ones,"

Lacey playfully tugged at Riley's scarf. "Uh huh,"

Hope hid her own smile whilst she looked around the kitchen where the horderves were on display, buffet style. Bouncing her nephew in her arms, she looked them all over before grabbing the bacon wrapped date and popping it in her mouth.  Taking another one, Hope tore it into smaller parts  for Landon to try too.

Watching her eat, Landon open and closed his mouth, chewing too, mimicking her every movement; an adorable smile on his lips.

Kissing his cheek, Hope was about to take him over to the table where all his presents had been set but just as she did so, her phone went off. 

Skype? I want to wish Landon a happy birthday :) It's a landmark date after all

Lol. Okay, give me a few minutes.

Same here. Zayn is using my computer to book the ticket to Kate

Lol, finally. Thank goodness him waking me up at the ungodly hour produced something good. 

Lol well I actually have so many frequent flyer miles from seeing you that he's getting a free ticket off me... Aren't I just the cutest :D

Harry strummed his fingers on the keyboard, waiting for Hope to get on. He slouched slightly in his seat, tapping his leg against the table. At last the ringing of the Skype call went off. Looking at his screen, Harry couldn't help but laugh when on the screen was a wide eyed Landon Ellis and rose pink nails that could be seen holding him. 

On cue, Niall popped his head next to Harry's, his guitar in hand. Liam, Zayn, and Louis also popped their heads into view, Louis actually butting heads with Harry on purpose so that he could be seen. Seeing them, Hope laughed while Landon's bright baby blue eyes widened more as he reached his hand out to touch the screen.

"Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu, Happy Birthday to you..." The four began while the guitarist went his own way.

"Feliz Cumpleanos, Feliz Cumpleanos," Niall sang extra loud causing the four boys to stop in mid song to stare at him while Hope at this time had Landon back on her lap, while pressing her lips closed tight so that her laughter didn't disrupt their song or songs, it seemed. 

"Feliz cumpleanosssss Landon Ellis!" Niall continued on, ignoring all of them. He was having a rather good time at the looks of it, whipping his head here and there with the beat.

"Landon..." Harry and the boys just chorused after Niall because even if they hadn't rehearsed it that way, Hope and Landon were both laughing and smiling, and that was enough for Harry. 

"Feliz Cumpleanos et tu." Niall finished off with a flourish of his guitar. 

"Happy Birthday Landon!" All the boys said together.

Hope just laughed once more before taking Landon's hands to clap with hers. "Bravo!" She exclaimed, laughing even more when she saw Zayn hit Niall on the head slightly for showing off by  singing in Spanish. Her eyes were soon only on Harry though, when he shooed his mates out of his room, moving his computer so that he could see her and Landon better. Hope couldn't see but she certainly heard when Liam and Louis tackled Niall for not doing as they had planned.
