present day ↛ 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖻𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗑, 𝗇𝖾𝗐 𝗒𝗈𝗋𝗄 ↛ 8:21pm, 2022.
Peezy stared at an unimpressed Odee as everyone watched Pace attempt to cheer everyone up by putting his hand up the back of Shy's shirt and talking in a high pitched voice as if he was a dummy.
"Shy, say hello to all the little boys and girls." Pace said mimicking slappy the doll from the show Goosebumps. Shy stared at the boy with a bored expression, if there was one thing Pace was good at, it would be being childish and embarrassing, but Shy was used to it at this point. He folded his arms across his chest as Justin leaned up, reaching for the bowl of popcorn that sat on top of the coffee table.
"I thought you ain't want none." Odee said furrowing his eyebrows, taking offense to the fact that Justin had rejected his offer just a few minutes prior. Justin shrugged, "I wanted to get it on my own and I wasn't hungry when you asked." Odee turned his face up into a scowl before eyeing the side of the youngers face as if he were some sort of creature. He had just asked maybe thirty minutes ago.
"But I jus' asked you though like what you mean?" Odee asked raising his right arm in confusion, Justin but the inside of his lip, "O, you actin' like im jus' eatin' fa' me, did you forget that it's three small humans inside of me?" Odee shrugged, "Nah, my wallet felt all that shit." He said grumpily after remembering the little feast that Justin indulged in the night before. Unbeknownst to him, Peezy was still staring causing Iniyah to take notice.
"P, what's wrong wit' you? Why you starin' like that?" She asked curiously, propping her head up on her fist. He ignored her, continuing to stare at Odee.
"Why you believe me so much?" He asked suddenly causing everyone including Pace to get quiet, Odee turned his head to look at him, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. The question was sudden and caught him off guard, "What you mean?" He asked, but he was already thinking of many different explanations before Peezy opened his mouth again. "I said, why you believe me so much? You volunteered everybody ta' believe me before they even said anything and you made sure that I knew you believed me jus' in case they didn't...why?" The younger continued, scratching the skin just beneath his left eye as Odee shrugged, involuntarily.
