In which, 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱, a girl exposed to the darkness, fights to find her light in a dark world in hopes of a brighter future.

Being a member of the Crawford family wasn't all that it seemed. Behind the prestigious clothes and the awfully fake smiles, hid monsters in their truest forms. Ones who could perform the evilest of acts and then hide behind a false image of innocence.

From a young age, Crawfords were taught that to be the best, you had to be strong and emotionless, and have the ability to follow orders. Important attributes which were sought among death eaters. A radical group of pure-blood supremacists who sought to 'purify' as they called it, the wizarding community.

Jessica, on the other hand, did not possess the same perspective as the rest of her family, feeling that muggle-borns and half-bloods alike had the same right to magic as anybody else. But such moral judgement merely resulted in scars that no child should have to bear, both physically and mentally. Against all that she was taught, she couldn't carry such beliefs, it was a burden. One that no 16-year-old should have to carry.

Her parents may have fought to keep her compliant, but she was determined to be all that her family wasn't. She didn't want to be the villain. She wanted to be good. No, she would be good. And with that, she would fight wholely to be her own being against the corruptness which surrounded her.
