Mothers have told their daughters stories of prince charming and princesses with wicked witches. I always loved stories of happily ever after. I had dreams that some prince will whisk me away from my confined room in the deep forest. I was always sick from my severe Asthma. I would look out the window hoping someone would save me from the dragon of a father and a witch of a mother.
My name is Cordelia Johnston and I am trapped and hidden in my room deep in a forest away from the world. My day-dreaming of a prince was interrupted by my calling mother.
"Coming mother!" I called out. I ran across my enormous room and opened the door. I almost ran into my mother down the glass hall.
"Cordelia, watch where you are going and try not to run much!" my mother hissed.
"Yes mother. Mother and Father always knows best for me," I responded.
"Are you done with your school work?" she questioned. I nodded.
"Speak to your mother don't just nod!" my father scolded.
"Yes father. Yes mother I am done with my school work," I sullenly responded.
"Good girl," they both said in unison. A thought came to my mind.
"Mother, Father, may I go and play outside in the field?" I asked eagerly.
"No, you are forbidden to step outside," my father hissed. My mother smiled but it wasn't kind. It was evil. They both walked away leaving me. I heard a locking sound by the door at the end of the hall. The door to the rest of the house. I ran up to a window to look outside. There was a field of flowers I wanted to read in. It wasn't fair to keep me trapped. My personal maid opened the door.
"Lady Delia, I have a letter for you. The staff kept it from your parents. No one will inform them of this." she informed me. I smiled. The staff was always caring of me. Once they learned about my parents treatment towards me they helped me when I needed it.
"Let us go into my room so mother and father won't find out through this glass hall." I suggested. We made our way to my room. She handed me the letter. I sat at my desk and opened it.
The letter said:
Dear Cordelia Johnston,
We are asking you to attend our dorm of the special educated to tutor some of our students. You will be paid and given the material you need for your work. Please call the CEO of the Student Education of the World to RSVP. We hope you will accept our offer and come live in the dorm.
from,
Secretary of the CEO of the Student Education of the World.
A wave of happiness crashed on me. I am given the chance of leaving this place and go to a dorm. Live with other people and make new friends. I know it may never happen but maybe fall in love with MY prince charming!
"Lady Delia are you ok? You are crying!" Lindy, my maid exclaimed. I touched my cheek and realize that I was really crying. Sadness? No joy. Tears of joy.
"Lindy, I now have a chance to leave this place, I am crying tears of joy," I whispered. Her eyes widened in surprise. She hugged me and started to jump up and down. I had seen this scene on a show. Two girls got asked to prom and were jumping for joy. I beamed with happiness and joined Lindy. She left me go after a few excided jumps.
"I will tell the staff to help you get to this dorm!" she exclaimed with determination. I smiled with joy. I am escaping this place of torture. Even if my asthma is tough I will still fight!

AT NIGHT
I awake to the pitch black room. Lindy and some of the staff had called to RSVP for me. Lindy told me her and the staff had been planning on helping me escape from the place I would call home at a young age. I grabbed my stuffed animals that I hid from my parents. I took my story books too along with some necessary items.
"You ready?" Lindy asked. I nodded in the darkness. She led my down the glass hall. The moon had shown brightly in the sky along with the small stars. The door that my parents always locked was wide open. The guards stood there waiting for us. They nodded at Lindy and closed the door behind us. Lindy lead me down a series of hallways and rooms.
"The dorm is located in Canada. We have a plane ticket for you. The driver will lead you to your gate at the air port." my maid whispered. She took me down a large stair case and to large French doors.
"Someone from the company will meet you at the air port in Main, United States. This place is far away from Japan you know." She said with worry. I was full American and was born in Japan. She lead me to a dark limo with a large man holding the back door open. Lindy bowed to him and I tried to copy her. They both laughed as I stumble. Stupid clumsy self!
Lindy and I said our goodbyes and I entered the limo. The interior was covered in black leather and red velvet. The drive was about an hour and a half. The driver helped me go through the air port and helped me board the plane. The police tried to deny the entry of the driver without a ticket. I was 16 so I was old enough to go by myself. The driver showed the police a card and they let him go bye without anymore questions.
I entered the plane with my bag and all. I had put on the head phones the driver had given to me before he left. I turned on the iPod and listened to Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers, Edward Sharpe, and Passion Pitt. The plane ride was going to be six hours from now. I will arrive in Maine, United States at 8:00 am. I wake up to the speaker telling the people that we will be landing in ten minutes. I pack up my stuff and watch out the window. The morning sun shines a bit more brightly today than ever for me.
I leave my seat and made my way to a restaurant. I learned many different ways to speak and many different languages. I know Japanese, English, Spanish, Latin, German, Chinese, French, and sign language. I order some food at a place called Sonic. I was eating some food when over the speaker my name was called.
"Cordelia Johnston please come to the main desk in the center of the air port to meet your student from the SE. I pack up my food and leave for the main desk. When I got to the desk I passed an 18 year old guy who was angrily texting into his phone.
"Excuse me who is looking for me?" I asked the man at the desk.
"What is your name?" the man questioned.
"Cordelia Johnston," I replied. He pointed at the angry teen I had seen before. (I bet everyone saw that one coming) I walked towards the frustrated boy.
"Hi. Are you looking for me?" I asked him. He looked up at me the his phone then back at me. His eyes replaced the anger with surprise. I smiled at him.
"Uh.......h-h-hi.....I-I-I-I am.....am....am......am......" he started.
