Why is it so hard to be a Christian? Well, here's the answer. It's not. Through our life, God will give us trials. We won't like them, but we know God gives us these storms to help us through our own life. A lot of people that aren't Christians will sometimes say, "Well, if I'm a Christian, I won't be able to do the 'fun' things." That's not true! Ask any Christian, they will tell you that you'll have the time of your life!I don't know about you, but I know I struggle with it! Your friends go to the movies, but you can't come because you know it's not right; so you feel left out. You know you made the right choice though. I know this has happened to me before. This is why we make good decisions! Especially when it comes to making the right friends! Your friends are all singing a song that you know isn't right. What do you do? Yes, once again, it's hard to make these decisions! You know on the inside that it's wrong, but you don't want to feel excluded! We just have to make the right decision!
You can't be with God at church, if your not with God outside of church. We go to church on Sunday, make great decisions, and then on Monday, doing the wrong thing again. Why do we do the SAME things over, and over, and over again? Here's your solution: get rid of everything that will tempt you! I'm not saying get rid of your phone, but get rid of some of the things on it. If it's not there to tempt you, we won't have a problem with being tempted again.
Another thing Christian teens struggle with these days is try into be perfect. We all know that at the end of the day nobody is perfect, however a lot of the time we struggle with our own desire to be perfect. We often mix up our quest for righteousness with a goal for perfection, and that always ends in disaster. It's difficult to follow someone who was "perfect" while trying not to fall into the same mold of feeling that we have to be perfect as well. So, don't try to be like the world. The world isn't perfect anyways! Even though it may seem like it, it's not. Remember is one quote, "We aren't made perfect by anything that we do, we are made perfect by what Jesus already did."
