I was full on panicking.
I couldn't find my school shirt.
"MUM!" I shouted
"WHAT!" she replied with the same amount of volume
"HAVE YOU SEEN MY SCHOOL SHIRT?!"
"ITS DOWN HERE, I JUST IRONED IT!"
"THANKS, IM JUST COMING DOWN!"
With that I ran down the stairs, and totally didn't almost fall over, grabbed my recently ironed shirt not really caring about the wrinkles but still trying to be careful with it and ran back upstairs.
I wanted to look good, it was the first day of senior school. Yes, I know, I have been at the school ever since I was four and yes there's not much point in looking good on the first day when you know the majority of the people in your class (as it's a very small school), But I still wanted to make a good impression.
I was going to be a helper with a new student, her name was Sarah the teacher I had last year said that she likes music, swims and loves to dance and sing. She was just like me! There were also people my friends were showing around like how Izzy was showing around a girl named Daisy and Kate was showing around a girl named Sky.
"ANNA, GET DOWN STAIRS ITS LUNCH!" my mum called breaking me out of my train of thought.
I looked back at my new school bag a maroon adidas rucksack. It was filled with books that still had the 'new book' smell. It had a pencil case filled to the brim with new pens, pencils and many different coloured highlighters, I looked at my new school uniform a maroon tartan skirt and a white shirt which a forest green blazer would lap over.
This year was going to be great, I just knew it.
