It's been a month since we actually started talking. Things have been going smoothly. The classroom isn't as lonely anymore. There's at least one person who makes me feel welcomed. And that is Kirishima. There's more to him than I thought. He can be pretty funny. And stoic as well. I'm glad that Mr. Yagi convinced me to give him a chance.

Just like my recent newly found perspective, the outside shines brightly. A little too bright. All the clouds within the distance make their journey away from the sun. Down here, the rays stretch through the window. Inside the classroom, it heats things up. Some people use their homework to fan themselves. Unavoidably, sweat forms at the top of their foreheads. Not even the air conditioning system can spare them from the oncoming summer temps.

As I sit in my seat, my skin soaks in the sun's full intensity. Drops of sweat slide down my body. It dampens my uniform. It's too damn hot! I unbutton my collar a bit for some air. Looking over on the other side of the room, I see Kirishima laughing at me. He knows how much it sucks to be in my position right now. Us window people can't catch a break today.

"Alright class! Well that's the end of it for today! Be sure to start prepping for our first test next week. I shall see you all tomorrow!"

The bell rings and everyone scurries around the classroom. As I head towards the door, Kirishima waits for me.

"Hey Midoriya!"

"Yeah what's up?!"

"You think you can help me study for the test?"

"Yeah I can help."

"Thanks I appreciate it! I'm not good at taking tests."

"Really? But you had to take the entrance exam to get into here. What's the difference there?"

"It was a stroke of luck man. I almost never do well. This was just the one exception."

He scratches the back of his head awkwardly. When I look at him I can't help but want to help him. It's like finding a lost cat in the rain. They're managing but inside you just want to offer them some assistance.

"Haha alright. When do you want to start?"

"Are you free right now?"

"I got something to do today. How about tomorrow when classes end?"

"Alright that sounds good!"

His face perks up. A little smile forms at the corner of his lips.

"Okay. Well I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Alright see ya Midoriya!"

In the kitchen, the stove was heating up. My mom, with her hair tied up, was cutting up some food with her knife. The space around her exuded happiness. Her vibrant humming welcomed me as I opened the door.

"Welcome home! How was school?!"

"It was good. Just have to study for a test that's coming up."

"Oh thats wonderful!"

"Did Dad call you? You're in a good mood today."

"Yes! I finished talking to him right before you came home. He's doing fine!"

"That's good to hear. I'm going to my room for a bit."

"Okay dear! Dinner will be ready in twenty minutes!"

I dropped my bag on the floor and rolled into bed. Thinking about what happened earlier. Kirishima really wanted my help. I couldn't believe it. He had high hopes for me. The pressure from it felt unreal, making me somewhat anxious. I just hope I can teach him without being unclear. I buried my face into one of my pillows. It was too fluffy for my own good. The cooling sensation from it gave me relief.
