Overworked

Ship: SOOKAI

Huening kai jumped at the sound of the front door being slammed shut. He quickly got up from his bed and went out into the kitchen. He was met by his boyfriend Soobin, angrily kicking off his shoes and taking off his jacket.

"Hey Binnie, how was work?"

"Fine" Soobin mumbled, making his way over to the couch, turning on the TV.

"You sure? you seem kind of mad.. You've actually been coming home from work mad all month..." Huening kai mumbled the last part under his breathe.

"I told you i'm fine!" Soobin snapped

Huening kai gasped, it was silent for a moment before tears began running down his face. Kai began to walk back into the bedroom until he turned back around and started yelling.

"You know what Soobin? i'm sick of you treating me like this! all month you've been treating me like garbage. I understand that you work a lot and are constantly stressed out, but i'm sick of you taking it out on me!"

Soobin looked stunned for a moment, Huening kai had never spoken to him like this before so he was at a loss for words.

"Kai hey, I had no idea—" "You had no idea!?" Huening Kai cut him off.

"You've barely spoken to me and when you do it's just you yelling at me about how stressed you are and to just leave you alone!" More tears ran down his face as he continued yelling "I can't be in a relationship with you if you're gonna keep treating me like this."

Huening Kai looked at Soobin waiting for a response, but he was sat there in shock. He took a deep breathe before storming out and slamming their bedroom door shut.

The next day Huening Kai woke up to a delicious smell coming from the kitchen. He slowly got up and followed where the smell was coming from. His eyes widened once he saw Soobin with a white apron on, cooking bacon and eggs.

"Soobin? aren't you supposed to be at work?" Huening Kai said giving Soobin a confused look

"I am but I called in sick to spend the day with you" He smiled, gently plating the bacon and eggs.

"Here" Soobin handed a plate to him.

Huening Kai grabbed the plate and they both sat down in silence.

Neither of them said anything for a few minutes, only small glances at each other until Soobin finally said something.

"Kai listen.. I'm so sorry" Tears already began filling the black haired boys eyes. "I never meant to hurt you. I knew I was being distant this past month but I didn't realize how much it was affecting you and how mean I really was being." Soobin sniffled, quickly wiping his tears.

"I love you so much and I really don't want to lose you. Let's just go back to how things were okay? Like how we used to cuddle on the couch every night and tell each other bed time stories before we went to sleep."

Huening Kai stared for a moment before jumping up out of his seat and tightly hugging his boyfriend. "Yes! Yes! Yes! I missed you so much Binnie"

Soobin laughed as he picked up the younger boy and spun him around, "I missed you too"

Huening Kai leaned in and gave him a long kiss before pulling away, "Can we go get some ice cream!"

Soobin laughed, "It's like 10 in the morning"

"I don't care Binnie! Let's go!" Soobin shook his head, "How about we cuddle first and get ice cream later?"

Huening kai frantically shook his head up and down, "I like that idea a lot!"

For the rest of the day the two cuddled and eventually went out to go get ice cream.

"Binnie I love you so much" Huening kai said while eating his ice cream cone.

"I love you too Huening" Soobin leaned in for a kiss but while Huening Kai's eyes were closed he put a bit of ice cream on his nose. "Hey! no fair my eyes were closed"

Huening Kai attempted to do the same but Soobin quickly dodged and began running away. "Hey get back here!" Kai yelled, chasing Soobin across the grass.

The two later got home and got into bed together. "Soobin you think we're gonna get married one day?" Huening Kai suddenly asked.

"Where did that come from?" Soobin said,  shocked by the random question.

"I don't know I guess I just think about it sometimes"

"Well do you want to get married?"

Huening kai thought about it for a moment before nodding.

"Well then i'll make sure to give us the best wedding ever." Soobin said, giving him a big kiss on the cheek.

Kai giggled and hugged Soobin tightly, "Goodnight Binnie"

"Goodnight my future husband"

Huening Kai smiled widely, stuffing his face in the crook of Soobins neck to hide his bright red face.

Soobin laughed at his boyfriends cuteness and wrapped his arms around him. Eventually the two drifted off to sleep in each others arms.
