Hello and welcome to another book that I am starting while shamefully neglecting my other books. I am writing this book with MissAnonymous171. She and I both are co-writers and came up with everything in this book together.
The protagonist in the book deals with a mental disorder called ‘Schizophrenia’ and while this is a romance novel, the book will deal with the depth of this disorder and will contain details about it which we have researched as much as we could. I’d like to add that while we have researched and tried to get everything as accurate as possible, we may have missed a thing or two. So if there are any unintentional mistakes, please feel free to kindly correct us.
The definition of Schizophrenia is -
‘It is a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.’
The main symptoms of Schizophrenia are:
Delusions
Hallucinations
Disorganized thinking (speech)
Extremely disorganized or abnormal motor behavior.
Needless to say, no negative comments toward the protagonist will be tolerated. If you find the book too intense, you can always leave. There will be scenes that will go into the depth of her hallucinations and they may be, well, scary.
A character named ‘Catalina’ who is the niece of the love interest will frequently be seen in scenes of this book and while I do understand that people don’t enjoy reading about children, negative comments towards a child character will not be tolerated either. She is a child and therefore will, in certain ways, be childish. Let’s try to make the comment section not look toxic. And, if you keep an open mind, you may even like her.
So, as I mentioned before, this book dives deep into a mental disorder and therefore may include topics that will be triggering to some readers. A warning will always be included but I do recommend that you don’t read this book if you find it too triggering - keep yourself first.
While talking about mental disorders or mental health, I’d like to mention that it’s always, always, better to seek out help the second you feel as if something is wrong. As I said, keep yourself first.
This all being said, welcome to 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒔, a love story of a tattoo artist and a florist.
. . .
Side note from V - I will be updating my other books too so do not worry about that, yeah?
