A thousand years in the future, 3015, you would think humanity would have destroyed the world by then. It surprised even me that we hadn't. We had come close though.
Pollution grew worse, wars raged. We slowly but surely corrupted this planet we call home. The more wealthy people were given the chance to leave Earth. Over time we had made other planets livable, though not without body suits and masks. But still, it was better than this giant trash can of used to be a clean and healthy planet.
I, myself, was in the worst position possible. My parents both died in one of the many wars for our rights as human beings, leaving me an orphan. I lived in an orphanage till I turned sixteen then even it was destroyed; me being one of the few survivors. I had managed to get a job but that didn't last long and I soon found myself homeless at the age of seventeen. Wandering the streets and doing odd jobs for food and clothes, sometimes stealing if I had to. I wasn't proud of my life, but I took what I could get.
I'm Reece Keeton, welcome to my life.
