"Achoo!"

"Bless you." Said Kanbe before taking a sip of the drink he held within his hand.

Sniffing as he rolled his eyes, he muttered a choked 'thanks' inbetween his sniffles.

Rubbing his eyes, he swears his vision gets shittier whenever he's sick.

Rumaging around his already messy desk, he tried to find his glasses. He very rarely wears glasses, usually contacts if he's feeling brave enough but not often.

After searching and searching and reaching a dead end, he stopped. Defeated, he let out a huge sigh of frustration as he stared at the ceiling.

"Have you perhaps lost your glasses?" Kanbe questioned, not looking at the mess Kato was but more so focused on the screen of the computer.

"Not lost, I left it at home." He groaned, not one of them bothering to look at each other face to face or even the direction of themselves. It was too tiring for them to see the faces of their partner.

"How unfortunate." Mr. Rich replied, clicking the mouse and the keys on the board whilst faking a sad demeanor. What a prick, honestly.

Covering his eyes with his arms, he succumbed to the burning heat all around his body. Was it just hot today or was it just him? He didn't know nor care at the time.

Taking off his jacket, it helped a bit. Though, not much. Even so, he's grateful for the amount of air that breezed by his body when he took it off. It was more than enough given the situation at hand.

Inching closer to his desk, he finally looked at the case that was given to him and Kanbe. It was a dangerous guy who was known for terrorizing people with a hockey mask- Okay, this killer is definitely a horror movie fan..

"God, I do not have the energy to deal with this right now.."

Raising a brow, Kanbe finally looked over the sulking detective. "Oh really? Usually you'd be all excited and ramble about justice in this case. Did something happen, inspector?" He asked genuinely. It was very  out of character for Kato, out of all the people to say something like this.

Rolling his eyes, he glared back at the raven-haired idiot. "I'm not always preaching about justice, dickhead! I need a break too, I guess.." He mumbled the last sentence quieter and quieter, almost as if he didn't want to admit anything he just stated. Averting his eyes, they wandered back at the computer screen.

"But.. A life of a detective isn't so easy, is it?" He sighed. "Welp! No time to lose, let's head to the last place the officers saw them and start from there." Stretching his arms and back. Being on that chair the whole day did a numbering to Kato's limbs and body. He felt like he aged 10x faster than before!

Nodding, Kanbe quickly followed suit to Kato.

Together alone, in a car as they go to their destination. It was near the woods where an abandoned warehouse was found within the lush thick bushes and trees. You might be lucky and step on a twig, that would sure scare you, wouldn't it?

Getting out, they were greeted with an unsettling warehouse. In the middle of the woods, dark and gloomy. Kato couldn't and wouldn't bother on the fact of what could be stained around this messy forest. Thinking of the possibilities were already scary enough.

"So this is the place, huh."

"Mhm, it's fairly far from our office. We'll have to wake up early if we want to be here before dawn." Kanbe spoke as he inspected the surroundings, there wasn't much to see anyways.
