I slowly opened my eyes. I tried sitting up but my stomach hurt so bad. I looked down and realized it was wrapped in bandages. My eyes adjusted to the light and I was able to look around a bit."where the hell am I?"I asked."looks like someone's awake."I whipped my head around to see who it was. It was a man with a snake around his neck and two different colored eyes. I shot him a confused glare."I found you last night and brought you back here." He said Casually. I just sat there dumbfounded."u-uh what's your name?"I asked."Obanai Iguro, and you are?" "O-Octavia, Octavia Goetia."I said Hesitantly. He nodded his head. There was a brief moment of silence between us until I spoke."S-so about the thing that attacked me last night, d-do you know what it is?"I asked."That's exactly what I came here to talk about. You see, that "thing" was a demon. They feast on human flesh to get stronger. This is the demon slayer corps, Our main mission is to completely annihilate them."He finished. My eyes widened. "Demons on earth?! I thought they only existed in hell? And this guy is a demon slayer himself? Ahhh! So many questions!"I thought to myself. I knew I had to calm down. I couldn't give him any clue that I was a demon myself or I would be done for."that's a-a lot to take in all at once, heh."I said awkwardly."ok let's just get to the point. The master is still deciding what we're going to do with you. Knowing him he will probably give you a choice."he explained. Who was this Master he was talking about anyway? "So what will be my options?" I asked. "My guess would be either make you a demon slayer, or you go back to living as a normal citizen."He said. Becoming a demon slayer huh? Now that I think about it, I didn't have much to look forward to. Even if I did go back to living normally my life wouldn't be much. I was lost in thought until I realized something. Where's the grimoire?!"Uh excuse me sir, but when you found me please tell me you took a thick blue book as well!" I asked nervously. I could not loose the Grimoire. It could be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands."Oh, is it this?"He asked holding it up. I quickly snatched it from him. He looked a little surprised on how quickly I took it."S-sorry it's just this book is uhh, important to me. It's been p-passed down in my family."I said trying to keep my cool. He just shrugged. I'm glad he didn't ask anymore questions. There was a long silence between us until another woman walked in."oh, kocho I've been waiting for you."He said."sorry about that Iguro, I had other injured patients to attend to!"she said with a bright smile on her face."I'll step out."Iguro said standing up." Alright hon let me take a look at those wounds."she said. She had a butterfly Ornament and purple eyes. She was quite pretty. She unwrap the bandages from my stomach."This will definitely leave a scar. It's best to keep these clean. I'll be right back, I'm going to get the peroxide."I just stayed quiet. She then started clean the wounds which made me hiss in pain."I'm sorry dear, but wee can't risk infection."she said softly."it's alright I guess."I said I could easily heal this wounds with a spell but like I said I didn't want to make these people suspicious."all done!" She said happily."T-thank you I guess."I said looking away. "Excuse me lady kocho, but master said that you can bring the girl in now." The girl said. "Thank you for informing me." She said. She then turned to me."follow me dear." She said helping me up. Oh boy.
