Audrey walked into the room and looked suspiciously at the diamond clock. The diamond clock said three AM, and the emerald, ruby, gold, and Saphire clock said eight PM, but it was still morning. She was about to pull the third rope to the left that was white with knitted diamonds. She hesitated when she had noticed the new diary. Oh! Its feather pen was just so soft and tempting to write with. Audrey picked up the feather pen and started to write down in the fastest pace that she could.
Dear Diary,
My name is Audrey, and I am but a mere four years old. I am writing this entry to document all of the exciting experiences that occur in my life. Today, while exploring my golden chest, I stumbled upon something quite unusual - a boy who looked to be around my age! Although finding someone unexpected could be a bit daunting, I found myself feeling exhilarated at the prospect of making a new friend, just like Rapunzel. As a young girl, I have always dreamed of being a warrior princess, and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to emulate the stories my grandmother used to tell me. I gingerly whispered to the boy and asked him why he was hiding in my chest. He explained that he was running away from his mother, who was a servant of the king. Since I knew that the king was my father, I was even more curious to hear his story. He invited me into my chest with him without hesitation, even though I told him I was scared of the dark. He reassured me that there was nothing to be afraid of. He told me that he was scared of the dark too, but we have to bear it for now because his mother was chasing him. It seemed as if his fear of being caught was contagious because I had it sooner than later.
