Start of race weekend! Finally, this is the weekend that the race season starts! Thoughts of excitement and anxiety and nervousness ran through pro racer Tyler Bandit's mind like his KTM on the track. He had a lanky frame, brown hair, grey eyes, and was pretty sociable. He was also one of the youngest. Sixteen years old, started pro at fourteen.
"Tyler, you'll be fine." His girlfriend, Jessica Vern said to him. She was a sweet girl, petit frame, blonde hair, and was good for Tyler's anxiety. Yes, that's right. Pro racer, 'the Bandit', had anxiety about racing. He was always nervous at race season. Nervous, but excited.
"I know, Jess. Just the same worries. Worries of crashing and not being physically able to get back on the bike..." he said, pulling at his fingers as he sat in his lawn chair and ate his croissant.
"Ty... when have you crashed? Last time you crashed, I'm pretty sure you were in class 65 junior." Jessica said. 65 was the type of bike, and junior was the age.
"You're right... it's just the back of my mind." He checked the time, and stood up from his chair, putting on the rest of his gear. "I have to go."
She kissed him, before he put on his helmet, and then he left. This was it. The beginning of the season. He could hear the beautiful growl of the dirtbikes starting, and revving, everyone watching. This was when his anxiety was up the most. The gates went down, and they were off! Keeping a hold on his clutch, he raced off. One table top cleared, and a whip. He has this one in the bag. He was passing the other racers like they were standing still! It was too easy. Then it happened. That fateful moment. Jessica's heart stopped. Tyler was down, and wasn't getting back up. The flaggers raised the flags that warned other racers to slow down. A novice, newbie at the pro racing didn't see, and the tires slammed down on Tyler's limp body, causing it to jerk up.
Jessica gasped, stifling a scream. The race was stopped. Ambulances were coming. When the paramedics got there, it seemed that Tyler couldn't breathe. They carefully take off his helmet, and gasped. Blooding was gushing down onto the dirt, and in the paramedic's hand. They then check his pulse, then looked at each other, shaking their heads. The great Bandit's reign had ended. Suddenly, Tyler rose from the dead! He stretched his hands out and-
"Jerrod! That's enough!" Mandy said, hitting her younger brother. She was a bit unsure about their mother's decision on letting him ride. Jerrod had the same blond hair as his sister, but he had brown eyes, and she had almost diamond blue eyes.
"Oh come on! It's a campfire, we need to have scary stories!" His friend Ryan said. He had black hair, deep blue eyes, and almost always a smirk on his face. Ryan was three years older than Jerrod, same age as Mandy, sixteen years old.
"We all know Tyler Bandit was a real racer, and to use his death to scare people and say he returned as a zombie is horrible!" Mandy scolded, giving them dirty looks. "It must be simply horrible for Jessica to lose her love like that."
"Fine. I'll change the ending." Jerrod compromised. She gives him a steely look. "That weekend... it wasn't really a race. It was just a friendly competition, a few weeks after the season ended. It was actually this track. And they also say he's still here. No, not as a body. But spirit."
The night was dead quiet after Jerrod finished his story. Then out of nowhere, BRAAP. Mandy puts a hand over her mouth, stifling a scream. "Jerrod, where did Anderson go?!"
Ryan started to laugh, as did Jerrod. The dirt bike stops, and then out from behind the trailer came Anderson, laughing his butt off. He had copper hair, and green eyes.
"You little buggers!! I swear, the minute Mom gets back I'll-" she started to say, enraged about what they did. Jerrod almost leaped over, then clamped a hand on his sister's mouth, panicked. She tried to protest, but he put a finger to his lips.
