3rd POV

Chongyun didn't know what happened.

One moment him and Xingqiu were on their way to Wanmin Restaurant

The next, the city was stormed by the Abyss Order. Led by the Aether's sister

The next...

There was so much blood.

The Abyss Order had retreated but not before the slaughter.

Some were still there.

He felt Shenhe shaking him. His ears rung. He fell to his knees.

He couldn't pull his eyes away.

He was gone.

Almost all of them

We're gone

His friend's, his colleagues, soldiers, townsfolk.

Even the Aether, for Lumine had thrown him into the clear waters of the harbor, his blood staining the once pure liquid

Many of his friends had died, and all were grousome and bloody.

Their blood had splattered all over Chongyun. Staining his white and blue clothing.

He didn't care, all he cared about was Xingqiu.

He had the worst of it.

He had protected the children from harm. Taking a bunch of blows as he was splashed with blood from all sides.

His friend's, his enemy's, his lover's, his own.

He had successfully protected the kids. But to what cost?

But his own life.

Chongyun had been working to get citizens out of the city.

The children Xingqiu was protecting had wanted to fight, so they ran off. They almost got themselves killed.

Congyun had come as fast as he could to help.

Only to be splattered with his lover's blood.

He had watched as the Abyss order soldiers ran him through with his own disarmed sword.

He fell to the ground at Chongyun's feet.

The Abyss Order retreated after that for many of their soldiers had fallen aswell.

"Chongyun!"

He jumped. Snapped out of the memory. He was met with his aunt's concerned face.

Her appearance was messy. She wore many marks and scars. Her hair was messy and ripped along with her clothes.
