Hello dear reader and welcome to my story. My name is Variadoc, I'm twenty years old and I am a student-mage, or apprentice, if you will, living in Archmage Seflion's castle. He does not take many apprentices, so I am very lucky and extremely proud of myself for being here. I live in the kingdom of Thumbria and the Archmage's castle is located in the far north. There's a lot to tell about Thumbria. It's a lively country, not very big, but not small either. Its people are kind enough, mostly, and its food is... Well, decent enough.
I was born here, in a small village in the south. The king, Mechsufel, is a weird fellow. I only met him once and I probably won't be meeting him again soon, because apparently it's very busy being a king. He's an extremely stern-looking man, he doesn't speak much and he doesn't seem very regal to me. He's got a dark brown shaggy beard and long uncombed hair, stained with grey streaks. But he seemed nice enough. And he's got a lovely wife named Cyrsia. The queen, despite being over forty, is really quite attractive. Rosy cheeks, lovely luscious lips and beautiful brown eyes. And her hair, her hair! Never have I seen hair curl that much and beautifully. She really has a lot of hair, it's a reddish kind of brown, and the curls cascade down her back, almost touching her royal rear end. After having met her, I decided I'd bed her one day. It does not matter that she's the queen: She is the one woman worth having. Her being a queen makes it all the more exciting. She and her children visit the Archmage's castle quite often, because he is her brother. And the king is too busy to pay a visit, so I won't be bothered by him...
One could say that it would be much easier to bed one of her daughters, because she has three of them! She also has a son, who is the rightful heir to the throne. He is five and, from what I hear, quite a handful. The daughters are nine, fourteen, and seventeen, and all of them quite beautiful themselves. But not nearly as beautiful as queen Cyrsia. I might try to get with the eldest daughter, Elria, because she's starting to look more and more like her mother each and every day. The first time I met all of them was some years ago. There was a grand feast at the royal castle and Archmage Selfion was invited He decided, for some strange reason, to bring me along! I didn't get to do anything when I got there, really. I just had to stand by Seflion's side and look pretty. I was only sixteen, but already I was doing quite well with the ladies. I think Elria fancied me, but I didn't act on it. Probably because the only lady I was interested in was the queen. If you were ever to lay eyes upon her, you would swear her to be the most attractive woman you had ever seen. No wonder the king chose her to be his wife...
But I'm going off track! I'm done talking about the royal family, for now. None of them are here at the moment, so life is kind of boring. I can't go scheming for a plot to get into the queen's bed because that darn Seflion has given me loads and loads of work to do. I can't even go and visit the town... Perhaps I'll tell you about the city some other time. For now, know that your dear writer has too much to do to entertain you with some of his grand stories.
