Darcy twisted, swinging their blade in circles. Somehow deflecting my attack along with Grime's. Him and me landed next to each other and watched as Darcy lifted their hand.

A massive metal tube shot up from behind Darcy as they swung their arm forward the tube reacted as well. Swinging down horizontally knocking both me and Grime back.

My back connected with the wall and I thought I heard a crack. Pain shot through my spine and I let go of my swords. Dropping down next to Grime, my right arm nearly holding me up.

Grime turned to me his hammer just ahead of him. I could tell he was going to do something stupid... he had that glint.

"I have an idea, you go for the generator. While I distract her-" Grime stood and started to run forward. Which I anticipated, most of his dumb plans involve running at the enemy head on. So instead of letting him do that I grabbed onto his leg. Pulling him back.

"You call that a plan?!" I yelled at him, while he fell onto the blackish ground. "No, we are doing this my way. You and me need to work in sync, attacking different places together."

"That won't work."

"You're plan won't work either! Besides they're extremely cocky, their bound to make a mistake. Hopefully. "

Grime stared at me, his frown deepening. He looked skeptical as he just stared at me with his one good eye.

"What's wrong? Already done, and here we thought you had fire in you~ Guess the gem should have chosen a different person to be the embodiment of strength." Darcy called out. "Understandable, I would give up in your position too. I mean if I was that weak against someone like me.

"Let's do this." I whispered and Grime nodded, leaping back onto his feet swinging his battle hammer forward.

"Soon your world will fall." They did a little twirl, not noticing me and Grime getting ready. "And we will become your god!"

We both ran forward Grime attacking Darcy's left, they snapped forward using their blade to deflect his attack and then using one of the metal arms to throw him back. Turning the their back to me.

This was perfect, their distracted.

I swiped at the contorted metal that dared call itself the future. The new god in this world.

The cut was small and the creature went to wipe the blood away quickly, but I already saw the green liquid ooze out of the wound.

What the fuck?!

The creature didn't even give me a chance to react, they were already leaping back onto their feet. Scythe in hand as they swung.

Sickening crunches could be heard with each hard yank of arm. The creature controlled Marcy like a puppet, no regard for her body's well being.

"Come on Strength, stop this foolishnesses. We both know why your really here." The creature cooed using Marcy's mouth.

Don't get distracted.

My blade met with every swing of the fiery blade and my other sword stayed by my side. Waiting, itching for the moment to strike.

"Your only here because you want to prove you changed! But Sasha have you really? Have you changed into the person Anne would adore?" Darcy leapt forward, trying to trip me.

I hesitated... the world seemed to slowdown as the blur of orange inched closer.

Was I changing for the better?

I thought I was... but then I took control and became commander.

Maybe I'm not changing, and Anne hates me. She's just being supportive, like she always been.
