tw // blood and gore
After what felt like an eternity, the three friends have finally reunited.
Stapy had a gun tightly clenched in his hand, ready to shoot at anything that posed a danger to his best friends.
"If only Liy didn't mess with that STUPID door.. this would've never happened and we wouldn't be on the verge of death!"
Stapy resisted the urge to fire the gun out of anger. He never knew how to handle one, let alone aim it correctly."Hey, what matters is that we're back together, right?" Foldy reassured him.
"I HATE LIY!!!" He yelled out of pure anger. Marker had tried to calm him down but it was all futile, until...
"Stop!" Foldy stomped on the ground.
"You know, there can be something lurking in the forest right now... and you've probably gotten their attention." Foldy sighed, looking into her best friend's eyes.
She sounded angry, though her turquoise eyes showed utter distress and concern for the safety of her two best friends.
"Ahhh.. sorry. I didn't mean to yell like that.. ever since the events of a few days ago, I don't think I can go one minute without worrying about you guys." Stapy said in a whisper.
"It's fine!" Marker said, reassuring him.
They wandered around the forest for an exit for hours, until they came into a clearing.
The clearing was similar to a garden, spotted with purple roses of different shades. This view would've looked better if it were daytime, the friends had thought.
"Hey, they're the color of my cap!" Marker said, staring at the flowers.
"I don't know, Marker. You shouldn't get too close. Roses have thorns after all-"
"Don't be so worried, Stapy. Let's call it a day and sleep here.. I'm getting kind of tired." Foldy said as she inched towards the unusually colored plants.
"I'll find a place away from the roses... they don't seem right to me.."
His hunch about the flowers were correct as they started to move a bit.
After a few moments, Foldy had also noticed the flowers were moving.
"Foldy! Get away from the-"
*RRRIIPPPPPPP*
"GUAHHHKK??!"
Blood quickly streamed from her mouth.
She looked down to see a thorny vine impaling her chest.
"FOLDY, NO!" Stapy's voice cracked as he yelled in disbelief.
Two more vines emerged from the soil, and impaled her stomach and right eye.
"S-Sta....pp..y..." Foldy whispered through labored breaths as more blood gushed out of her mouth. Her knees buckled under her and she fell down to the floor. A short, quiet breath escaped her lips as her soul left her body.
The redhead, despite still recovering from his broken legs let go of his crutches and charged towards the vine monster.
By doing this, he had dropped the gun.
These efforts were all in vain, as a vine slapped Stapy and left a wound on his face.
His face was bleeding and by the time he got up, his turquoise haired friend had died from all the blood loss.
"No... Foldy.. I'm sorry. I should've helped you.. please forgive me-"
He had crawled towards the unconscious body of his best friend. Their bond was inseparable, and seeing his best friend all bloody and impaled like this only filled him with dismay.
Stapy buried his head in his hands as he sobbed, mourning the loss of his best friend.
Marker looked at Stapy and the unconscious body of his best friend, only to see that her eyes suddenly shot up.
"RAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
It had seemed like the turquoise haired girl had come back to life, somehow.
Stapy opened his eyes to see his undead best friend staring directly at him.
Her soulless eyes— or eye if she still had her right eye— bore into his soul, but there was a hint of something else in it...
Bloodlust.
Her shocked expression suddenly contorted into a wicked, murderous smile.
Cracking noises could be heard as the vines controlled Foldy's movements, making her stand up.
She was looking down at what once was her best friend, but with the vines possessing her dead body, she had only seen him as something to exterminate.
The monster who once was Foldy shook her head and averted her gaze towards Marker.
She reached out her hand (if she even had one) and summoned a vine coming his way.
By this point, Stapy had gotten back most of his energy and with much effort and pain, leaped towards Marker and helped him avoid the vine that his undead friend had summoned.
"What do we do?!"
"Carry me, we have to get out-"
A vine took Stapy and tied him to a tree.
"STAPY!"
He grunted as his best friend stared at him, that insane, unhinged smile still plastered on her bloody face. She was getting ready to strike when...
The girl screeched in animalistic pain when she realized that she had been bitten. The vines uncoiled around Stapy's body.
"She's disarmed!" Marker yelled as he threw the redhead over his shoulder and made a run for it.
After they had ran a good distance, Marker sprawled on the ground from the redhead's weight.
"We have to find a way to turn her back..."
"...."
Stapy had forgotten the fact that his best friend was no longer of this world, and her body was just being used as a puppet by those purple roses.
Reality struck him, and he started breaking down.
"It's okay, I'll stay here with you.." Marker comforted him.
