"I can't thank you enough for this. This is a dream come true."
My friend Toshi, got me a copy of the brand new VRMMORPG that has been blowing up the internet. He lives in Japan, and his dad works at a gaming store. I paid him double just to get me a copy, since Japan is the only place it was being sold, and when I heard only ten thousand copies were being sold, I knew I had to get my hands on one.
"Just don't say anything about where you got it."
He chuckles over Skype.
"So there are officially no more copies?"
I ask waiting to hear the delayed response.
"All ten thousand have been sold and people have been starting up there games."
I smile, excited for the game.
"Seriously, I can't thank you enough. I feel like I'm holding diamonds and gold."
I can see his face change into a sarcastic expression.
"Well, considering you bought that black market style from me, you technically are. Not many Americans have what you do, only around a thousand, if that."
I'm wriggling with anticipation now.
"I can't wait anymore, I'll see you in there."
I plug up the Nerve Gear and put in the game.
"See ya, and try not to get killed before we meet up, okay?"
I giggle at his remark.
"I'll try, same to you."
I lay down on my bed and put the helmet on. I look through the tinted lens and smirk.
Once I'm in this world, I'll be in my element. Lets do this.
I close my eyes and scream the magic words with pure excitement.
"Link, Start!"
I open my eyes to see a few blue particles in front of my face. I look down at my hands, then my whole body. I'm wearing a standard outfit for the game, just in the color blue.
It's a good thing I made an account before the launch date.
I notice in the corner of my vision, I see my health bar, and next to it I see my username.
"Angel..."
I think to myself. I smile and run over to the center of town and wait for Toshi.
"Hey, Slowpoke! Took you long enough."
I hear him coming up from behind me. I turn around and see his avatar. He has the same standard suit, just in red.
"Samurai? Is that really your username?"
I look at him in disbelief.
"Hey, its simple, and cool. What about you Angel? Are you gonna go to a Victoria Secret fashion show anytime soon?"
I hear his remark and punch him in the shoulder.
"Hey, I was just kidding."
I look at him with apologetic eyes and he quickly changes the subject.
"Wanna get to the fun part now?"
I look up with wide eyes.
"Choosing our weapons?"
I looked at him with a wide grin. He nods and we race over to the market. We start looking at the different swords and daggers like we're kids in a candy store.
