Trapped

Chapter 1: New Face

"Ugh.. I'm bored." you sigh and slouch on the school chair. You stare at the ceiling and think about random thoughts to fill the boredom. School... Is hell on earth. The only thrill is hanging around your buddies but that only happens during break time! You watch the clock as time ticks by. Tick, tock. You mutter to yourself since there's nothing else to do. The teacher continues explaining grammar and all kinds of ideas that you couldn't be bothered with. Soon enough it's recess!

You excitedly strut your way out of the classroom and into the cafeteria. "Hey, Y/N! Do you want to eat with us?" Daniel places his warm hand on your shoulder. His smile glitters so heavenly that your own lips crease on its own. "Yeah, sure!" you follow the tall boy and make some chit chat before settling down.

Minutes pass by and Daniel stares at you. Sweat drips off his face as he speaks nervously, "So.. uh.. You want to go to a theme park..?" he gives you a confused look. You nod while munching on your food. "Yup! Lets go," you say excitedly, "please Daniel? " He cringes at your attempt to act cute but hides it to protect your self-esteem..

Daniel scratches his neck, "Well," he hesitates, "I guess we could go.. is it just us?" he asks you and you begin listing down other people who could be "willing" to join. Zoe would definitely go because of Daniel and maybe Jay too? "Duke, Jiho!" you call your friends. They look confused and don't say a word. "Would you like to go to a theme park with me and Daniel? On Saturday." your question seems to float in Duke and Jiho's head for a while. 

Jiho speaks first, ".. Oh yeah! I'd love to come!"

Duke come's second, "Ah sorry. I won't be able to join since I have to stream for my fans.."

You and Daniel reassure Duke that it'll be alright. It's a good to know that Jiho will be tagging along too! He must be so ecstatic to bite his teeth and fidget with his nails, you thought. Recess comes to an end and it's time to head back to class.

"Bye Daniel! let's really go to the theme park on Saturday, okay?!" you shout and wave. Daniel nods at your request and heads back to the fashion department.

"... Oh my god its math next."
....

The next day rolls in and something surprises you! Daniel smiling so perfectly and calling you towards him. "Y/N!" he shouts from the front gates. "Jay said he'd pick us up tomorrow! We're gonna meet up at the mall nearby at 9 AM." it takes a few seconds before it clicks. You gleefully jump to Daniel's words and he chuckles at your cuteness. Maybe it was just nothing but it felt like Daniel was staring at you for a second too long.

The both of you make some small talk about what you're gonna wear, do and more. It's as if tomorrow is bound to be the best spontaneous break ever! But why did Jay even agree to it? You speculated that Daniel had threatened him to pay for the fees.. or maybe it was a little boy crush?

pfft..

"... Is there something funny, Y/N?"

"Oh! Nothing... interesting." you attempt to hide the nasty thought with a white lie. Daniel nervously smiles and says nothing. You look away and don't notice the high school boy grinning happily. 'Does she think I'm funny?'

Mira approaches you, Daniel, Duke and Jiho during recess. "Hey! I heard you're going to go to a theme park." she lays her tray down, "I wanna come too!" Mira says in an excited voice.

"Sure! We can go-"

"Mira, you're going? I'm coming too." Zack shuffles right beside Mira. Mira gives him a doubting look and says, "Promise me you wont fight! You know I really hate fighting." Zack nods aggressively like a little puppy. He used to look pretty scary but he's just a little puppy for Mira.
