Y/n's pov

The caretaker was dusting off the headstone in front of him. He loved his job even when it was centered around death. Not many come to visit unfortunately, only the caretaker who comes daily to clean the tombstones so the dust doesn't erase their existence in this world they have passed on from.

Once he was sure the dust was gone a gentle smile graced his face making the invisible wrinkle reappear and join the other visible wrinkles.

"Excuse me citizen", a voice called causing the old man to turn around. When he did he saw no one making a confused expression appear on his face.

"Down here", the voice added causing him to looked down. He saw a black little girl dressed in a fancy skirt and shirt. Her hair was in ponytail with a big puff behind her head. A sparkling tiara sat nicely on top of her head. In her hand was a pretty scepter

"Oh hello there, is there something you need help with", the caretaker asked kindly. "Not at this moment good sir", she replied. "Oh okay then, may I ask what is your name my lady", the caretaker chuckled now playing along.

"I am Queen Y/n citizen", Y/n introduced. "Nice to meet you your majesty", the caretaker replied bowing his head. His eyes noticed the bouquet of flowers, it almost had all the shades of purple.

"I just wanted to tell you, you are doing an excellent job cleaning the gravestones. I am sure the people and the people's family are thankful for your service", Y/n complimented. "Why thank you. I do hope they are happy. Many people tend to forget to clean their families tombstones", the caretaker chuckled. A frown appeared on her face.

"That's not good", she commented. "No but it's because people become busy", he told turning to face the tombstone with his late wife's name on it. He touched the newly clean marble stone, his hand rubbed the edge of it. A content smile grew onto his face.

"..People get busy, but some still or try to make time to come here to talk to their love ones. Memory is sometimes the best they can do which isn't a problem", he explained. "Why not clean while talking", Y/n questioned. "It would be less troublesome than worrying about forgetting to clean them", Y/n explained. "Yes it would be, but some are just not ready to touch the tombstones it can very saddening", he explained. "Hm okay", Y/n hummed.

The caretaker smiled at her then looked at the bouquet of flowers in her hand again.

"Are you visiting someone", he questioned. "Yes a friend. Which reminds me I need to take my leave now", Y/n replied. "Okay then, have a good day your majesty", he bowed. "You as well citizen, carry on", Y/n replied then continued walking. The caretaker waved goodbye to her as she walked away from him.
