This is him?

Dweeb, ex-shitty soccer player of 4 years, average grades, kind of Peter-Parker like - the Tom Holland, wimpy one, if he wasn't Spiderman, with bad handwriting. That's about 4 adjectives to describe the personality of Garret Martin, the supposed "hero".

Tragic backstory? Eh, not really. The most influential person in his life was his mother and she died when he was 10, so it kind of sucks for him.

Hmm... what else...

He worked for his dad at a convenience store for most of his life. Not a nerd, jock, or anything of the like. Wouldn't call him an outcast either, because he was apparently different from them as well, and outcasts' whole thing is "our differences make us stronger," so I guess you would call him a nobody. One friend he never talks to, a sister, and a father is all the relationships he has.

Or maybe I'd call him a loser.

But why am I simply stating this with barely any context?

Because when you read "stories" like this one, you expect the "hero" to have some sort of shit like "Fuck!! You killed my father!! I'm going to go on a 6-book-long journey to kill you!!"

Because your "heroes" always have some outside reason to go and fuck somebody up.

Because your "heroes" need to have some reason to go on, to keep fighting.

Because your "heroes", who are quite like Garret in the fact that they are losers at the start, always end up on the podium

Because your "heroes," are....

I'll stop ranting. You probably want to read about some "heroes," don't you?

Well, I won't delay you any further. Enjoy your time reading
