Low marks in test

(Uncle is busy working in the kitchen, chopping vegetables. Suddenly, someone comes up behind him.)
Uncle (startled):
Oh! Prince—
(hand on his chest)
You scared me, son.
(looks at his face carefully)
Hey… why do you look so sad?
Anything happened in school?
Prince (voice low, almost breaking):
Uncle, please help me.
I got very low marks…
Bhai will not spare me this time for sure.
Uncle (sighs, half-serious):
Prince, he already told you when you were watching TV…
that he’ll show you after the test result comes.
(shakes his head)
And look—
you messed up again.
Prince (almost pleading):
Please help me…
Don’t scare me. I’m already worried.
Uncle (raising an eyebrow, teasing but helpless):
I can’t do anything, beta.
You have to get this signed by your brother.
(smirks slightly)
And honestly… that man is scary for me too.
If I take your side, he’ll punish me as well.
(Prince doesn’t reply. He slowly turns and walks toward his room.)
Prince — POV
God… this maths.
It always puts me in trouble.
Why is it so hard for me?
What should I even say to bhai?
I wish mom were here.
She always signs my test papers without scolding me…
But bhai is not like that.
He will scold me so hard for sure.
(After changing out of his school uniform, Prince stands outside Vivek’s room. His hands are cold. He slowly knocks on the door.)
Vivek (from inside):
Yeah—
(door opens)
Oh, Prince. Hi.
Come in.
(smiles faintly)
So… how was your day in school, buddy?
Mom just called me. She said she’ll call you later.
(Prince stands at the door, head lowered, fingers clenched.)
Vivek (noticing):
Why are you so silent, bro?
Come here.
Prince (slowly walks toward him):
Bhai…
I got 20 out of 60 in maths.
(voice trembling)
I’m sorry, bhai.
Vivek (expression changes instantly):
Wait—
What?
(sharp)
20?
I mean… really, Prince?
(Prince nods slowly, still staring at the floor.)
Vivek (voice firm):
Look at me when I’m asking you something.
Don’t you dare look down while talking to me.
(raises his voice)
Look up.
(Prince flinches at his tone but lifts his head slightly.)
Vivek:
Tell me one thing—
Did you prepare well for this test?
Or were you watching TV instead of studying?
(Prince stays silent. He respects his brother deeply—and he knows Vivek hates lies.)
Vivek (coldly):
Your silence is already my answer.
(anger rising)
Are you mad, Prince?
What the hell are you thinking about yourself?
You were wasting your time—I knew that.
But I didn’t say anything because I thought
you’re mature enough to manage your studies and free time.
(voice heavy with disappointment)
But I was wrong.
You’re still behaving like an immature kid.
(His voice echoes in the room. Prince’s eyes fill with tears. One escapes.)
Prince (crying softly):
Bhai, I’m sorry…
I won’t do it again.
I’ll be more sincere about my studies.
Vivek (laughs bitterly):
Oh please.
How many times have you said this same sentence, huh?
(stands up)
This time I’m not sparing you.
Go to your room—
and come back with your maths book.
(Prince wipes his tears quickly, nods, and walks out without a word.)

Vivek's pov
I knew this boy won't be easy to handle, he's too careless about his study,if i won't give him firm guidance, he will never learn from his mistake, i have to take care of him, I've my own study too if he'll behave like this how will i handle this home, my own study and him too?

It's not hard, it's unusual, I've never felt that much pressurized before, the fact that now I'm the responsible for his every grades and actions. I've to give him little firm hands.. Cause if I will treat him thebway mom was treating him.. He won't be change at all

(Vivek start to feel that pressure on him for the first time as an elder brother and also as Prince's new guardian too, who is worried for prince, and for his own study too. Ofcourse for him this life won't be easy, even he had to learn to maintain balance between everything, to handle this home, to handle his own life, and to handle his younger brother too, who's always pampered by his mother.)
