Charge meets Surge

Charge POV(cont'd)
Fast forward 4 hours, it now 8 pm in Centropolis

I was jumping from rooftops keeping an eye out for trouble. When I felt a surge in electric energy in the area. That's weird, no one else is in the area that I know of. Unless....Surge! No, I need to check it out before I make a decision on how to handle it. Quickly I broke into a sprint and jumped from rooftop to rooftop. Until I heard someone let out a frustrated sigh. I looked down and saw Surge walking down an alleyway. What should I do? Call my parents or contact the league? I started following her from the rooftop, until I noticed she meant up with Chaos and Havoc. From what I can tell, Havoc just got defeated and Chaos is injured. I watched them talk, it's clear Havoc isn't happy and something big is going on. They finished talking and left, Surge remained in the dark alleyway.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are. I know you have been following me." She said, like she was talking to a baby. I froze immediately, the first night out and I am dealing with Surge. Quickly, I snap out of it and jump down into the alley. I stay hidden in the shadows, and watch Surge. " Just come out, I want to know who is dumb enough to follow me!"

I chuckle at her annoyance, she hates the unknown. I'm unpredictable in her eyes, since she doesn't know who I am.

"I have heard many things about you, Surge." I comment, causally. She looks around trying to see where I am.

"Yet, I know nothing of you."she says, pretending to be sad. Surge seems like she isn't dangerous.

"Stop using the baby voice, that is creepy and annoying!" I exclaim, from my hiding spot. All of sudden I get hit with lightning. I slowly start to absorb the lightning.

"What!?!" She yells, confused. I laugh at the confusion on her face. She has already lost the battle, without knowing it.

"Thanks for the boost, Sparky." I say, while smirking at her. She growls at the nickname that I gave her. I blast her with the energy she gave me. She flys into the wall of the alleyway. I approach her, ready to react. "Here I was expecting a challenge, worth my time."

"You sound just like Nano, wait!!" She remarks, as she gets up and ready to fight. "Well, this is perfect!

"Well, that makes sense since I am his son." I proudly declare. As she starts to throw more bolts of electricity at me.

"You made the biggest mistake in the book Rookie." She comments, darkly. I tilt my head confused, she kicks me in the face. She has one strong kick! I groan in pain and hold my nose. It's bleeding just great!

"I made no mistake, Surge!" I say, sounding very stuffy. She laughs at the way I sound now.

"You told me what your powers are by confirming who your father is." She reveals, she laughs at the fear on my face. What is she going to do?

"I am the son of Breeze and Nano, there is nothing you can do." I say, trying to sound confident. All of a sudden, she started blasting me with electricity. I started absorbing the electricity and felt myself start to feel stronger. She is only making me stronger!. Slowly, I started to feel this pain throughout my body. Why am I getting weaker?

"That's fun you say that, but I have weakened you." She points out as she pushes me, causing me to hit the alleyway wall hard.

"I....shall...defeat....Su....rge." I say weakly, as black begins to fill my vision.

"It's seems that I have defeated you Rookie. If you ever fight me again, I expect you to actually be worth my time." She says, as she walks over to me, I can't believe she defeated me! Before I could react, she kicked me in the gut and the last thing I heard was. "Nightie night, Charge."
