Ugh..

I raised my arm over my eyes, to shield them from the blinding sun seeping in through my curtains.

"Damn, it's sunny."

I finally got to school, and spotted my friends standing around the entrance. I went up to them and greeted them with a, "Hi!"

..But none of them even noticed I was there.

I tried to get their attention again, "Guys? Hello?" And they still didn't even acknowledge me, not even sparing a glance in my direction.

They didn't look at me, and it didn't even seem like they could hear me.

I decided to try just forget about it, as I entered the school, walking to class.

I bumped into a fellow student on my way there, "Sorry!" I hurriedly apologized, and they just kept walking.

They hadn't even stumbled or anything, it was as if they walked through me.

I got to my first class: Math!.. And I just ended up falling asleep, the teacher didn't even notice!

When I woke up, the room was empty and it was already dark outside.

"..What the hell?" My voice shook, as I rose out of my seat. I crept over towards the door, and opened it just enough to peek outside.

The halls were completely empty.

Wow, nobody bothered to wake me up?

I walked over to the entrance and tried to open the door, but it was locked.. My eyes widened, as the door was illuminated by some sort of light coming from behind me, I could see its reflection in the glass.

"What the.."

I slowly turned around, as I shrieked when I saw a portal that started dragging everything surrounding it into itself. I reached for the door handle to hold onto, but I was too late.

Everything went dark.

It felt like an eternity had passed, my mind was completely blank, all I could hear was my own breathing.

It was starting to get cold.

I couldn't open my eyes.

And then, I felt warm again, as if the sun was shining on me. I could finally open my eyes, only to be immediately blinded by the very bright sun.

"Where am I..?"

I glanced around, completely clueless, until I finally realized..

Is this Mondstadt..?

Is that.. The city?

And that's when it hit me — I was in Genshin impact.

How did I not recognize this place at first..?

Wait, how did I get here?

Actually, I'm not gonna question it, this is a much better place to be than reality.

I slowly stood up, a bit wobbly, since I was still a little shaken from that whole, weird, portal thing.

And.. I started to advance towards the city.
