Gender Revealed

A week later

It was that day. The day to visit the doctor and the day I find out what gender my baby is and who is the father.. Wanna know how I'm feeling? Like the world is about to end because if I know who the father is everything will change from the way it is now.

Putting on my rose dress, I grabbed my red slipper adding my red and white clip to my hair and grabbed my red bag, I headed downstairs to meet up with my mother.

My mom exited the kitchen dressed in a neon green blouse and a white pants matched with a neon green bag. Well, I guess I can say the fashion runs in the family.

"Excited?"

"Put it like that."

"An idea came to me this morning, why not after finding out the gender of the baby why not go to the salon?"

"That sounds like an okay idea to me."

Heading to the car, my phone vibrated. Turning on the phone, it revealed to show that it was Jimin.

Jimin
How ya doing?

Me
I'm okay. Just gonna visit the doctor

Jimin
What? You sick?

Me
Put it like that

Jimin
You going alone?

Me
My mom is coming with me

Jimin
Alright. It goes okay tho

Shutting off the phone I looked up, looking where I was going out of curiosity. Arriving at the doctor's office, I slowly exit  the car and headed inside while mom followed behind me.  

The nurse that I saw last time saw us and came over, "Oh, hi. You have an appointment today with Doctor Kim?"

"Yeah."

"Alright. He'll soon be with you."

Nodding we went and too a seat on the waiting bench while I grabbed my phone from my bag and went on YouTube to watch some ASMR to kill the time.

It didn't take long for me to hear them call my name. So, shutting off my phone I grabbed my bag and headed to the office my mom following me this time. 

Entering the room, I was welcomed with a hearty smile from the doctor. "Its good to see you again. How are you doing?"

Taking a seat on the bed, I answered, "I'm managing but just excited to see my little munchkin."

Understanding what I was saying, the doctor nodded his head and grabbed the things he needed before rolling his stool over to the bed. Knowing what to do, I laid down on the bed while looking at my mother who sat down on a chair observing everything the doctor was doing.

The doctor applied some of the gel to my belly, which was extremely cold but that die down because as I saw my baby on the ultrasound machine, tears started to well in my eyes.

My mom realized and came over to me, holding onto my hand, "It's beautiful."

Nodding in agreement with my mom comment, "Yes. Yes. It's amazing."

"Wanna know the gender?"

"Definitely."

The doctor pressed a button and a buzzing sound was heard which revealed that he printed some copies so that we'd have them. Grabbing some paper towel, he cleaned off my belly and I pulled my blouse back down, he took off his gloves before looking at me, "Ms. Choi, it's a girl."

My mouth fell open before I broke down in tears, my mom hugged me and stroked my hair doing her best to calm me down. The doctor arose from his stool, before telling my mother he'll be outside.

After awhile, I managed to calm myself back down due to the help of my mother. She called the doctor inside in which he told us that before my due date which was in three weeks time, I should revisit him to collect some test results.

We thanked him and headed home. Arriving home I grabbed some apples and went up to my room, throwing my body onto the bed and turning on the television.

Hearing a ding from my phone, I grabbed it, biting into the apple. Knowing who it was texting me at this hour, You home yet?

I replied 'yes' before my phone began to ring, swiping across, I answered it, "Wassup?"

Nothing. Just calling to know if you were home yet.

"Um yeah. I got back my results."

About what? You having a flu?

I laughed, "No dumbass." Shifting up so that the ultrasound pictures were in view, I saw how he was watching what I was doing so attentively and I would be lying if I didn't say he looked cute.

Switching my camera, I showed him the pictures that were laid against my bed.

Woah, what is that- Wait, wait a minute, is that what I think it is?

Changing my camera back to me again, I nodded, "Yup. I collected them today."

So you know what gender it is?

"Yeah. A girl. By the way, how's Hailey doing?"

She's slowing coming around but she can't leave her room as yet.

"Okay. Tell her hi for me."

Minha?

"Yeah?"

When you arrive at school can I get one of those, to show my sister?

"Yeah, sure."

We talked for the next three hours and I honestly didn't bother get yo watch the television but it wasn't as if I cared. We decided to hung up, well, Jimin decided to hung because he realized that I was sleepy. Telling him goodbye, I turned off my phone and went to my bed.
