I wake with a sticky note on my head. I sit up and pull it off of myself.
Sign math quiz and Social Studies Test
I ignore the note since those things are due in a couple days. I can do it after school. I jump out of bed, get dressed, brush my teeth, eat breakfast and finally have to leave for school at 7:55. I have to drop my sister off at school first so we have to leave early. I hop in the car along with my sister and sit in the front seat. My mom finally arrives at the car and sits down just in time. We leave for school. My sister leaves, and its just me and my mom in the car. I kiss my mom goodbye and jump out of the car carrying my backpack and my tote bag. I walk into the school in my new pair of shorts and sit down for 20 minutes alone. I walk into the classroom and greet my teacher with a friendly,"Good morning!" as I always do and sit down. We go through Scial Studies, music class, math, science, and writing very quickly. And then lunch comes. My friends and I all sit as a group, Gabby, me, Ally, Livi, Abby P. , and Abby (who I do not consider much of a friend) at the lunch table. Lunch finishes at 12:50. All of the gleeful fourth and fifth grade students run happily towards the playground for recess. Gabby, Abby, and Abby P. all formed one little group of three and head onto the field without me, Ally, or Livi. "Oh!" I say to Ally and Livi. "I need to show you my back-bend!" I've been dying to show them my back end on the floor all day. We reach the field and are about 7 yards away from the other group of three. I look down at the flat, hard ground. "I'm scared...." I say hesitating.
"Ok then," Livi says. "Let's put our jackets down where you are going to land so if you mess up it doesn't hurt!" Livi always has good ideas. We all lay our jackets down. I successfully do my back-bend. Ally and Livi cheer. I bow and say, "Thank you! Thank you!" As a joke. Just then I look over at Gabby, Abby, and Abby P. They copied our idea to lay our jackets down. And they are doing back-bends on the jackets as well! "Look!" I exclaim pointing over in Gabby' s direction.
"They copied us!" Says Ally. We all exchange looks and start screaming, "Copiers!" all at the same time. We keep on screaming at them. We are just joking, but Gabby is taking it seriously.
"We are not copying you!"
"You are using jackets to land your back-bend!"
"No we're not! We just put them in a pile!"
"Yeah right." I say loud enough for Gabby to hear me.
"You brat!" I gasp. I wasn't expecting that. "You're all brats!"
"You're the one screaming, 'You're brats!' At us," yells Ally.
And the "No, it gets too crazy. We all start screaming and yelling at one another, calling eachother names, insulting one another. And then we all stop when we hear a whistle blow. We have to go into school. Gabby, Abby, and Abby P. start to walk away.
"I never even liked you anyway, Abby!"
"Oh, what a nice friend you are!" Abby stops and says to me sarcastically. And we all ignored eachother for the rest of the day.
