Chapter Four ~ First day of school pt 2

Eren's POV

When I finally found my math class (I got lost a couple of times), I was 5 minutes late. Once I walked in Ms. Smith smiled at me and got the classes attention.

"Class, class, settle down, we have a new student all the way from Germany! Eren would you introduce yourself?" She asked.

Shit. I'm terrible at introductions. Eh whatever I'll just say my name and where I'm from. "Uh h-hi I'm E-eren Jaegar. I moved here from Germany over the s-summe-"

"Ha! Eren stutters!" Someone yelled from their seat. Then everyone started laughing, except for this one kid with blond hair, he looked like he felt kind of bad for me. Great. My face turned bright red then Ms. Smith stopped the class from laughing.

"Jean! Stop being so mean to the new student!" Said Ms. Smith.

Jean, huh. I have a feeling this will be my new bully... he kind of looks like a horse.

"Eren, let's find you a seat" Ms. Smith started. "Hmm, oh! There's one next to Armin Arlert."

She pointed to the blond kid who was the only one not laughing at me, luckily I got to sit next to him and not Jean. I walked over to my seat and set my stuff down.

"Hi Eren, I'm Armin. Sorry about Jean, he's like that to everyone." Armin gave me a warm smile.

"Thanks Armin. Whenever I get nervous I stutter." I responded.

"Eren, Armin! Now's not the time to chat." Ms. Smith yelled to us.

"Psst, Eren." Armin whispered to me, "Wanna compare schedules?"

I nodded and handed him my schedule. We only have one class together, math. Guess I'll only see him during math and lunch.

The rest of math went by fast, and so did science now it's time for lunch and Armin said to meet him and Mikasa at the front of the school. I've been sitting her for five minutes and none of them came so I texted Armin.

Eren, 12:10pm- hey. where r u?

Armin, 12:11pm- sorry, running late. be there in a few.

Right when I got his text, someone called to me.

"Oi, brat." I look up to see Levi standing in front of me.

"The name's Eren." I say, sternly, and sort of proud of myself. Levi looked a little shocked at my response.

Levi's POV

"The name's Eren" Eren said sternly. Did he really just. Wow I'm shocked, first person to ever talk back to me. This just makes me more attracted to him.

I snap out of it and get back to my usual self. "Whatever. Listen, Mika is going over to Annie's house so after soccer practice you're walking home with me or by yourself. Your choice." I say, hoping that Eren will pick me.

Eren thinks for a moment. "I g-guess I'll walk with y-you." He's back to his normal stuttering self.

I nod and start to walk away but he called he back.

"Wait, Levi."

"What now, Eren?" It came out meaner than I intended it to be.

"Um, well, we have free period together so I was wondering if after lunch you'd like to go to the library with me to study or something. I could use a little help in math." He says.

I think for a moment. Math is my best subject and I am a year older than him so I guess I could help. Mika would be happy if I did... "Yeah, sure I guess." I say casually, "Meet me at the library after lunch then."
